Primary Concerns: Coaching & Defensive Playmakers

I would like to bring this up again being quite relevant yet again:

I'm still not impressed by Rivera as a HC

Absolutely no discipline, stupid self-inflicting mistakes, & a Seifert-esque sideline persona

He needs to step it up plain and simple

And you don't come out of the bye week with your team looking like this

Being a first year coach, having great defensive mind & being honest doesn't make a coach untouchable

He's not doing well to this point plain and simple. People like [insert mods name here] can make all of the smartass remarks they want but this is reality

Rivera gets credit for picking three people - Newton, Chud and Schula. Past that, I haven't seen anything that points to him even being decent, much less good or great.

His selection of McDermott at best looks like a lateral move from Meeks, his team has no discipline, they look unfocused and streaky, they don't improve on problem areas and he has the personality of a grapefruit on the sideline. He's only going to be able to ride the youth and injury excuses for a little bit longer.

It's early and he'll get (and deserves) more time, so I guess we'll see.

Totally agree especially with that last point. He definitely deserves time to improve.

**anticipating more of the bitchy reactions about how we can't question him because its his first year and was handed a mess. You call the guy out if he's not doing well and he's not doing well

It is so much more than that.

Plus, who is to say Beason will ever be what he once was.

you got it.

Beason isn't the Smitty of the defense.

I'm talking about a guy that plays like you just punched his grandma and is screaming and rowdy as hell. The "screw lose" type but in control.

But I'm sure Beason will come back fine...Davis not so much
