In no particular order:

  • Remember what happened on October 26,1993
  • Watched the games in the 1-15 year (and took out a loan for counseling fees).
  • Raised your kids to be Panthers fans and hope they will marry a Panther fan.
  • Still wonder if Seifert smoked weed before and after games or if he was just that spaced out.
  • DVR games that you may miss and watch without fast forwarding the game action.
  • Choose panther players in fantasy football and the team in pick 'em because you would rather lose meaningless stuff than root for the enemy.
  • Still see Kasay's kick roll out of bounds in your nightmares.
  • Loved Jake enough to live and die with him.
  • Are happy NJPanther12 really didn't work for, with, or near the team.
  • Wish there was no statue for Sam Mills because he was still here.

I have always consider myself the Panthers #1 fan and that hasn't changed at all. I was a super fan the day I drove to Charlotte and watched them build the stadium and the goosebumps I got when I saw the countdown sign until the Panthers played.

My obsession has calmed down just a bit but collecting Panther auto cards makes me feel closer to the team even if they no longer play with us.

I have never missed a game.

I cried after the 1-15 season(I went to 4 home games that year and was even on Panthers.com front page) when we won our 1st game against the Ravens 10-7 ending the streak and that was a great ride home.

My only problem is I'm so loyal I want players and coaches to stay even when they shouldn't

So anyone born after 1993 can't be a true fan? Interesting

As a die-hard fan, I've pulled for this team since day 1.....even caught a few games when they played at Clemson while Erricsson Stadium was being built.

Being a true fan is not one who suddenly turns on the tv or reads the sports pages one day and sees that the Panthers are suddenly having a good year and THEN pull out the Panther hats and shirts.....it's pulling for them in August thru December, thru the good and the bad!!
