some people like to claim they are a bigger fan because they spend $10,000 a year on team merch and go to all the games and training camps and stalk players at hotels or restaurants for their autograph. fug that. i think a true fan is someone who roots for the team regardless of spending huge amounts of cash, team wins, popularity and history just because they like the team/players. Actually a person who lives on the west coast I would think is more dedicated to the team because of the time difference, non local tv and radio than the local "best Fan in the world" who spends all the money on the team, and hardly even watches games or refuses to watch the games on tv because of the coaches or because we drafted someone he didn't like. Dedication is no easy task.

There is no biggest fan in the world. we're all in this together with even status.

A true fan is one that is obsessed with the Panthers changing their uniforms. That's what being a fan and football is all about. I think they should be bedazzled. (the uniforms, not the true fans.)

Over the years, I've moved away from trying to define who's a true fan and who isn't. It's kind of like telling someone else how they should grieve after the loss of someone they care about. You just can't define someone else's feelings.

There are certainly attitudes and ideas that I find silly, but reality is you can't tell other people how to cheer for their favorite team.

I disagree... Started liking a team when I was 7, Panthers didnt play their 1st game until I was 21. I tried but I cant let go of the team Ive liked since I was a kid, even if Im more of a Panther fan than I ever was of the Raiders. Call me a traitor, or treasonator or not a true fan, I like who I like, cant help it...
