Perfect Time For A Bye

My initial reaction was that nothing is worse than going into a bye after a loss, but after thinking about it, maybe this is good timing.

Everybody wants to win, and I am sure every player is trying as hard as they can. Maybe it is time for them to step back, realize the past can't be changed, and come out playing loose for the 2nd half of the season.

We didn't have the horses this year to post a great record. Sometimes when guys try to do too much, mistakes are the outcome.

Hopefully, they come back, enjoy the spoiler role, and learn to have some fun while building for next year.

There is no magic that the coaching staff can do to make the guys on defense any better.

There is no magic player we can add to fix our special teams woes.

We just have to gut it out this season and figure out who is going to be here next year.

So the guys are going to have a 4 day vacation, then I hope Ron uses the rest of the time in pads to try to toughen them up. Working on discipline on the Offense to stop shooing ourselves in the foot with penalties. Getting the defensive line to work on shedding tackles and making their run fits is a must if we have any hope to fix our terrible run defense.

Ron is also going to have to start figuring out who we will hire for the special teams coaching job that is sure to come open after Jan1.

As for Kasey -v- Mare, remember Kasey missed a FG that would have won Jerry a ring, so the miss this week pales in comparison..

pefect time for me to get more sleep instead of getting up early to watch a frustrating game of football

Who you telling, my wife and I wake up at 2am Mondays over here stationed in Japan. Waiting for DST to wake up at 3am for an extra hour of sleep. haha! I love the Panthers though and will watch them no matter what. Miss every FG or lose every game, I'm there! This year sure has been a lot more exciting to watch compared to last year. Smitty getting his swagger back, Cam bringing something new to not just our team but to the NFL b/c of his athleticism, Double Trouble getting their share of touches, our new TEs are great, seeing other LB step up, and just know we are going to come together to win more games. Don't get me wrong, sucks waking up at 2am before work to see us lose but I have faith in this Panther organization!
