Olindo Mare would not have kicked tha ball out of bounds during Super Bowl XXXVIII.

I think what you fools fail to understand is that even with the worst game in his entire career against Philly in 2003 kasay had already won at least two games with last second field goals that season (Indy and new Orleans). He went on to do it again against arizona. He had proven himself time and time again.

Mare has proven poo in his brief time here except that he has a weak leg, kicks the ball really low (even on extra points) and crumbles under pressure. Kasay got a pass and still does because he was so good under pressure. Think about all the times he came through for us because Fox played for field goals on every offensive possession.

Mare is a loser and couldn't get by in Seattle or Miami.

sweet, devolving into name calling. mare spent nine years on miami and three in seattle... CLEARLY he's not capable of kicking in the NFL... and he's 13-16 this year and i think second in the NFL in touch backs(evidence of his weak leg for sure).

Kasay was a great kicker, don't get me wrong. to simply say however, "kasay would have made that kick" or, whatever is BS. Kasay missed plenty of FGs for us and gave the other team great field position on kickoffs more often than not. i hate when people try and speculate what someone else would've or would not have done in a different situation. you dont know, and neither does anyone else. speculation is worthless.

even great kickers miss easy kicks on occasion, as great receivers drop balls on occasion and great QBs miss throws. (and some fumble twice near the redzone) I think the point is, we all know Mare shoulda made that field goal just as well as he knows he should have made it. perhaps if the entire team played a better four quarters of football, they would've never been in that position in the first place.
