make all the excuses for that loser Mare you want to.. his inability to make a 31 yarder (which should be a given in the NFL) cost the Panthers at the least a chance to go to overtime

you say its not his fault b/c the snap wasnt perfect... welcome to the NFL.. if the only time we can expect Mare to hit close FG is when conditions are perfect then if its raining we can excuse his misses b/c the ball is wet.. when its snowing its ok to miss b/c the ball is cold.. when its windy its ok b/c the wind wont stop blowing...

kickers are suppose to make FGs.. no excuses.. if I'm a retard for expecting a kicker to do his job even when conditions arent perfect, then your a moron for defending mediocrity

How many missed oportunities did Cam blow today. He touched the ball way more than anyone else. Cept maybe the vikes.

He made 10x more than blown....get over yourself dick weed...it's football, dude has to make that kick to at least get a chance to win in overtime.

Name one kicker who has never missed a FG. It happens, and it doesn't mean they guy is the devil and can't do his job.

Reality check: that only ties the game. If we can't OUTSCORE our opponents we cannot win.

Paying him $4 million, at that.

Regardless, the game was lost before that kick. Explain to me WHY Minnesota was ahead, again?

Where did 14 of their points come from?

Where did the Panthers' offense go after the first drive in the 3rd Quarter?

Why weren't the Panthers lining up for 1st & Goal at the end instead of kicking a field goal?

The Defense HELD PETERSON to 86 yards, only gave up 10 points on regular possessions, and they still lost.

People who are fixated on Mare's miss are fools. The Offense failed to close. They got the ball back with a 21-14 lead, and went 3 and out again, and the rest is history.

As many three and outs as they had in the Second Half, that they even still had a chance to win the game outside the field goal, is a testament to how respectable the overall defensive effort was today, compared to other times this season.

Because this is the NFL...teams make adjustments, teams lose leads ALL THE TIME...YOU GOTTA MAKE THAT KICK to send the game to overtime.

Yep, and he had about 3-4 drops today too.

This was a team loss, plain and simple...with a little help from the sorry ass refs, of course.

I didnt say he was the devil.. I said he should do his job better and make FGs

reality check.. I said he cost us a chance to tie, not win.. reading is fundamental.. try it

What adjustments did the Panthers make when the offense went FLAT in the 2nd Half?

That kick wouldn't have been necessary if the Panthers' Offense hadn't GIFTED Minnesota 14 easy points in the first half, and the Panthers' Offense hadn't gone to sleep in the 2nd half.

No game is ONE PLAY. If he'd have made it, there's not guarantee they'd have won in Overtime, an OT that wouldn't even have been possible if the Panthers hadn't given the game away long before that kick ever became necessary.

At that point, they were trying to RECLAIM a blown game. They shouldn't have blown it.

Anyone who blames the D or O'Mare is shortsighted.

We choke in the 4th when we are tied or down. Period. 6 losses. we are 0-6 in this exact situation. also 0-6 when we turnover the ball.

I didn't have this little confidence with Jake when in these situations. I start sweating with 14 minutes left, let alone 2.

We beat Jacksonville while trailing in the 4th.

Regardless of all the other mistakes Mare had the chance to take it to OT and he blew it. It's pretty simple... the NFL is tough, when you blow an opportunity like that it really hurts.

Why is that one "mistake" any more important than the two that GAVE THE VIKINGS 14 POINTS? Because it's the last one and the one that's all over ESPN?

Yeah it hurts, but it's idiotic to ignore all the other mistakes by all the other players and put the loss entirely on the kicker. Hell, there is no guarantee that we would have won even if he would have made the kick. Our defense sure as hell didn't look like they could have stopped the Vikings if they got the ball first in OT, that's for damn sure.
