Got to admit I wasn't thrilled with the signing anyway, just because we were signing a 38 year old kicker instead of drafting a long term solution. But I thought we were good for a couple of years, apparently I was wrong.

And yea, Hurney has really made some big mistakes over the last few years. Edwards, Brown, Mare, Clausen, Jarrett etc...

You can't always blame the kicker for lost games, but lets look past the losing thing. If a kicker can't nail a kick in any pressure situation, what good is he? It's like the saying goes, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. It shouldn't feel like winning a superbowl for Mare to nail a 35 yard field goal with 2+ minutes left. I just always get a sick feeling when we ask him to do his job.
