You understood correctly. The offense and defense put our team in a position to tie the game and go to overtime. At that time the game was on the kickers shoulders and he lost it. I'm not saying trade or release him for it but the fact is that it was his game to tie (maybe win) and he didn't get the job done.

Could've should've would've mav. He didn't do it. Smith held maybe because Cam ran it himself but there were opportunities before that. We get called on holding more than anyone else because Cam hangs on to the ball more than anyone else. He had a chance prior to that too...a drive before the Vikings went up by 3. We went 3 and out. He could have put it away then.

Remember when we were just talking about prior to the game about how he needs to learn how to adjust to the speed of the defenses in the 4th and let that ball out quicker? That was still happening today. Fumbles were partly a result of this.

None of these things are getting fixed. I see them every week. When I see repeated mistakes, to me, you go to the coach. When you ask them and they still continue you have to wonder if they are being allowed. Where's the since of urgency?

Once again, I see the other sides of our team improving each week and I see this offense and Cam stagnating and repeating the same mistakes.

THE WHOLE THING IS BULLSH*T BECAUSE CAM NEWTON SHOULDNT HAVE TO THROW 3 TD'S AND RUSH FOR ANOTHER 50 PLUS THROW 280 YARDS AND LOSE THE GAME. Not as bad as the defense. The offense needs to score 30+ every single week if they expect to string together 2 or more wins in a row. The ST's may not be great, but it was the defense that gave up 21 of the Vikings 24 points.

Stilll, we must lead the league with the most special teams miscues. Every week if we're not getting flagged for 12-men on the field, we're missing field goals, getting false starts, not blocking for Armanti.

Team sport i know our d is mediocre but really short field = points you cant blame this loss only on the d , or the ST I mean could the D played better sure but also mare could have made that chip shot ot maybe nannee and felton could have caught that ball or superman not fumbled 2 times , or the refs let us play ball with those bs holding calls whic in theory 89 holding call cost the win not a chance at overtime a Win. I've watched the missed kick 8 friggin times now. If Mare hit it straight, it would have been blocked anyway. The Vikes defender was literally half an inch away from putting mitts on it as it was. Don't blame the kicker because it's the path of least resistance. Smitty's hold killed us, just like his fumble against GB killed us. He is great, but the blame rests on his shoulders as much as anybody else for this loss, if not more.

My view on it is that if you pay a guy millions a year to come on the field once a week to put up maybe 1-3 field goals, a few XP, and 3-5 kickoffs, he better be pretty damn good at what he does. It's as simple as that.

A miss here and there, sure. But I feel like he already cost us one game with season missing field goals, so he better straighten up.
