Stop acting like one then. None of you all were like this when Jake, Matt or Clausen fuged up. What have you all been drinking?

We were all able to point to big screw ups like turnovers, offensive meltdowns and interceptions last year and see it as a pretty bad deal.

All of a sudden it's off limits?

Soooo, what is your solution to all of this?

Cut Newton, bring back Clausen, start Anderson?

I know, maybe Miami will trade us Moore, or better yet, Jake will come out of retirement, yeah, that's it, let's call Jake.

Because this fan base has the Romo/Cowboys syndrome. As long as Romo looked good on the field, looked good in the media and banging Jessica Simpson....everyone overlooked him folding under pressure, losing late in the game, fumbling the ball or throwing pics when it mattered most.

The ironic part? Cam even knows it as mav posted earlier. He knows it's on him to get those points when we're down by 7 or less late in the game for the win.

Fans still don't. And I can understand the fear. The implications are pretty terrifying but like I always said, problems don't get fixed by ignoring them. The longer you let them go unaddressed ....the worse they get.

That last paragraph is a doozie. You say "fans" do not know that its the QB's job to get that last drive for the winning points? That's news to probably 99% of the people posting. You speak of fans as if you are somehow disconnected from them. At any rate Cam did make the final drive. We missed a field goal. That's it plain and simple.

What "fear" are you talking about? That Cam is a choke artist? Taking your premise that he is (I disagree BTW) how does one go about addressing that problem as you state? Tell him to stop?

What's worse is it's not the consistent bad play. When it repeats it's a problem. When it happens over and over it's a problem.

I could only imagine what would happen of O'Mare missed 6 tying FG's, 1 per game, in each loss.

Exactly. These shortsighted fantasy-minded fans have a hard time identifying patterns that aren't highlighted by TV commentators or stats.

This game played out exactly like every other loss this season, like I said in the game thread 10 minutes before the game ended. The only thing different today, was Mare missed a tying field goal in a game that shouldn't have even come down to that in the first place.

The Panthers put the Redskins away last week, why didn't they put the Vikings away? Because they went to sleep on Offense in the 2nd half, that's why.

They wouldn't have been trying to TIE THE GAME UP had they played better before that, and shouldn't have been playing catch up in most of the other games they lost, either.

So you think everything is about a person? That's your problem right there.

When the Panthers keep losing the same way (BLOWING LEADS, MISSING OPPORTUNITIES, AND LOSING LATE), it's something the coaches have to correct.

When they got the ball back with a 21-14 lead, they should've started running the ball more, to try and take control of the game, throw the defense off. Instead they came out throwing the ball and gave the ball right back to the Vikings, and then they tied it up.

These coaches have to get a feel for what to run when it needs to be run. It's not one person losing these games, it's higher level than that, so to even throw out other QB names is ridiculous.

Why is that one "mistake" any more important than the two that GAVE THE VIKINGS 14 POINTS? Because it's the last one and the one that's all over ESPN?

Yeah it hurts, but it's idiotic to ignore all the other mistakes by all the other players and put the loss entirely on the kicker. Hell, there is no guarantee that we would have won even if he would have made the kick. Our defense sure as hell didn't look like they could have stopped the Vikings if they got the ball first in OT, that's for damn sure.

Who the hell said I was ignoring the other mistakes? If you want to debate other mistakes go ahead, but don't fuging call me idiotic for pointing out that the offense drove the entire length of the field and gave us a chance for OT and the kicker blew it.

None of the above.

Simple: fix it!

Other than that I couldn't tell you.

I have my opinion, and will say this much: with each passing week you can see our QB RUNNING this damn team more and more. His influence and the OC's influence is much more felt than that of our coach. All I know is you normally go to the top and ask that question and in this case our top is Cam Newton, but that's only because our coach is flying so low under the radar and hiding under his QB's shadow you need a metal detector to find him.

And that's never a good thing. So ask Rivera. He's around there somewhere.

The QB did fukup today. Can you agree with that?

uhm... No, I don't think our QB "did fugup today." The offense as a whole stalled when it shouldn't have but he put the team in a position to tie... woulda been a position to win but a foul away from the ball cost us that chance.

Can't complain about Cam today... Am not all that happy with Chud again... This offense makes me feel moody.

bottom line, Mare shanked the FG that would have given us a chance to win.

Exactly. No matter how poorly the offense played in the second half, they played well enough to get into field goal range for a chance to win in overtime. I dont think its unreasonable to be mad at our new 4 million dollar kicker for missing a high school range field goal.

You said it, whether you are capable of realizing it or not.
