I want to buy a gun

I have a Kel Tec P-11 9mm. It's very easy to conceal, lightweight, and reasonably priced. The only drawback is a long trigger pull, but if you just want to have it for personal protection, that's really not an issue.

I used to have the .380 version of this for Conceal & carry. The only drawbacks for me were the short barrel (only accurate up to about 15 feet) and the pop with a small grip. The thing will literally fly out of your hand. I upgraded to the Taurus Millineum 9mm. Still Compact but easier to shoot and just as cheap.

Screw a handgun' date=' buy an AA 12....[/quote']

this guys a sick sick bastard.

imagine the scene from the expendables where Terry Crews starts mowing everybody down in that hallway, at your crib.

Granted, youd probably destroy half of your house in the midst of the shooting, but bet your ass no one will be standing after that!

No, but if you're going to be prepared for an intruder, be prepared for 10. I mean overkill isn't too bad, unless you actually want to identify whats left.

it was actually well thought out, and i commend you for that.

Granted, that set-up would cost you a hell of a lot more than a simple pistol would, it defines efficiency as well as effectiveness.

i personally think he should just strap up some remote explosive under the cement footers on either entrance of the house. As soon as the intruder leaves, BAM! you got chopmeat!

I think you are missing the obvious solution.

First we begin with a simple remodel of your house to turn your master bedroom into your safe room/tactical response center along with a couple other "minor" upgrades.

1. Claymores in the walls in strategic places such as entry ways and hallways

2. False air duct panels to conceal tear gas and smoke generators

3. Strategically placed lasers for confusion to let the intruder think they are getting lit up so they can't tell where the real laser from your gun is coming from

4. 148 decible air horns at strategic entry points in your home. And lets be real, those aren't just for intruders, they make a hand dandy repellant from salesmen to religious zealots.

5. Trap door in the hallway to the master bedroom filled with ponji death sticks.

6. Cameras so you can respond/watch the mayhem from your control room

Now this may seem a bit over the top, but can we really protect ourselves too much?

Of course, you can always JUST carry a pistol. Personally I use a S&W .45 compact with 230 grain buffalo bore HP to start along with the other various assorted things I keep on my person at all times anyway. I prefer a larger round simply to be able to inflict more damage once it gets inside.

After much searching and trying several different pistols, I got my wife a S&W M&P 9mm compact for CC and personal protection. 3 different size backstraps makes it adjustable. After 1500 rounds there's only been a couple of no fires due to hard primers. Also, it's easy to clean, super reliable, and pretty much stupid proof.

But those are just my thoughts.

Oh and if your driveway is long enough, don't forget the Barrett .50 BMG so you can get them before they get to the door.

Is it bad that that turned me on a little bit?

While I agree that it would be effective, with claymores we're only talking about a little structural damage and some drywall and carpet and a little paint. Nothing major. Weekend project, insurance might even cover some of it.

I do have to say though that the air horns are funny as hell. I cant even begin to tell you how much I'm looking forward to trick or treaters tonight.
