Ok so not overwhelming perhaps, but 54-46 are anti-Jake.

As a point of reference, there were something like 2600 votes cast on the Observer's poll as opposed to the 400 on the Gazette's poll.

My main point is that polls aren't much of a way to determine opinions of any overall group. You always get a selective group. Some people don't read the Gazette, some don't read the Observer, etc. Heck, not all of them go to the Panthers site either.

And I would guess that many of those polls allow multiple votes/user anyway. So much like Pro Bowl fan voting, they are meaningless.

We have Jake under contract for another year. Not wanting to give him an extension now is not "anti-Jake" at all. Answering yes to cutting him would be anti-Jake.

Or that a massive cross section of those who did probably have no idea what his cap hit is for this season. Yes I know the article is linked on the page, but you know as well as I do that most probably just voted in the poll and moved on without clicking the full story.

Polls like that are going to attract the group of people that want change to vote more than the group that likes how things are. While in reality, the percentage of anti-jake fans is probably lower, it appears to be higher because they are more likely to vote in such a poll. I honestly wouldn't care if the entire fanbase was united, which they aren't, and neither does the organization. The fact that they were ready to extend Trgovac is proof of that.

They can still have logical arguments and sniff Jake's jock ya know. The two aren't mutually exclusive . Although some of the Jake haters here probably would think so.

That could be the case, yes. But, in those particular posts I don't see any jock sniffing of anyone.

not hating jake and wanting him cut or not thinking that there are a million QBs better than Jake or having faith that the panthers are going to be good again next year with jake as it's QB is all equal to being a jock sniffer in the small minds.
