Newton's not the fastest straight-line runner on the field, but he's got amazing change of direction skills for a guy his size, and he's definitely not easy to bring down.

I think as time goes on though, you'll see the runs diminish. His passing skills are only getting better.

Blame Warren Sapp for that.

He called McNabb "a runningback who throws" and McNabb wasted a lot of effort trying to prove that conception of him wrong, even passing up good running opportunities that could have helped win games in the process.

Sapp was one of the better "mind game" players in the league during his career.

I must admit. I doubted Cam's abilities at the beginning of the preseason. Thought he was the next Vince Young. Great athlete but ok QB. He has proven me wrong thus far. We will see how he does when the Panthers add pieces around him in the coming years.

Yeah I really would like to keep him out of goal line diving situations, but other than that I think the run calls have been good.
