2 for Cam (including Hoge, whoa) and 2 for Luck (Kiper waffles, McShay is grasping)

I swear these folks in the media are so full of ish..U mean the same questions they should be asking of Luck, they are only concerned about asking of Cam?? Yeah, cause we know how his type is...Amazing how many "?" McShay has about Cam but don't seem to have the same concerns about Luck. Why is that? We really need to stop the BS.

What can Luck do that newton can't??

More athletic- not by a long shot.

Better arm?? Not at all.

More accurate- not from what I saw as of late from Newton.

Better work ethic- who works harder than Cam

Better knowledge of the game? Cam can read a pro offense. Luck- who knows??

On the other hand Newton is a much better runner, more elusive in the pocket, has a stronger arm, has proven himsellf at a pro level, and has all the intangibles, leadership skills. work ethic and drive that Luck has.

Luck may be great but it far from a given. Newton is playing like no rookie in history and he still isn't as good as a college junior playing against average competition? Ridiculous. Newton has answered all the critics. Luck hasn't even come in for questioning.

You know what, I'm calling it now, and Camdemonium and Grits can eat it:

Andrew. Luck. Has. Major. Problems.

I've been reading through pages of draft assessments, watched some of his games, and something keeps coming out to me. He has poor pocket presence, despite playing behind a great offensive line. Anytime the pressure comes, he's gone, scrambling. The number one thing all these analysts wanted to criticize Cam about is what this kid does constantly. He rarely reads his progressions, he forces throws, and he plays in the woeful Pac-12. If any of these defenses played halfway decent coverages, they would have balls giftwrapped to them constantly.

Anyone guaranteeing this kid will do squat in the NFL refuses to see the glaring issues behind his obviously talented arm. The comparisons between him and Peyton Manning are laughable.

Peyton actually stays in the damn pocket.

They did the same thing with Blaine and Cam...Ignored all of Baine's weaknesses while putting all of Cam's under a microscope. Now that Blaine is showing to be way more inaccurate than Cam and the other QBs, it's because of the players around him.

And did McShay say that Cam would be significantly behind LucK? Based on what? Luck's INTELLIGENCE? I guess those in the media now get to elevate Luck over Cam. Something Luck couldn't do on his own while Cam was in college. The Alpha-male syndrome is alive and well in the media, I see. Cam has to jump through hoops to prove he belongs because of the so called "questions and concerns" of these fake ass experts; while it's assumed that Luck has no such questions and concerns either on or off the field....And that's all based on what? The fact that his father is calling all the shots.

Do I think Luck is better than Cam Newton now? Not sure and I don't think you can compare.

Can you compare the two when they were prospects coming out? Absolutely and everything points to Luck being the better prospect. Will he come into the league right away and do what Cam Newton did? I doubt it.

The ultimate goal is to have long term success so comparing their first 7 games will be as useless as talking to KT about race relations.

As it stands now, both look to be solid NFL players.

Pullin the race card, didn't think I'd get that from you KTeeray

The only thing Luck had over Cam was the offense hewas in and I guess, his preceived intelligence. By the way, isn't Matt Moore preceived to be highly intelligent...How about Jimmy Clausen?

First of all let me say that I think Chud is one of the most creative OCs I have seen in some time. But it is interesting that Chud is being given more credit for Newton's develoment than Newton is by even his supporters like Hoge. People seem to ignore that Newton sought out Whitfield and worked months with him. They seem to forget that Newton went down to Florida and busted his butt with Weinke for months. He sought out pro Qbs like Brady, Vick, Manning, Moon etc and picked their colective brains for help. Newton will be great for the same reason Smitty is great. They both are overcoming their critics who said they couldn't do it and threw them under the bus. Ironically that may be Luck's undoing. He comes in with so much hype that he might believe it and expect to succeed from day one without putting in the work. After all nothing I have read suggests that Dalton, Gabbert, Locker, or Ponder put in the time Newton did in the offseason. Maybe that is why I think Newton is ahead of all of them right now. I wonder how much work Luck will feel he must do given he is being annointed as a great NFl quarterback already.

I really hope Indy doesnt get the #1 and take Luck...just not fair to have Peyton and then get Luck after one bad season. I'd much rather see Miami get him. I'm just glad that Cam has turned out to be much better out of the gate than I ever thought. What if Fox was still here, my goodness the horror.

Intersting video-clip by the way.

As statistics have shown, 2 out of every 3 black college QBs who enter the NFL draft as a QB are asked to switch their position to another position. The the black QBs who entered the NFL this year are no exception. Tyrod Taylor was told during the draft, that he will never make it as a QB because he's to short and he needs to switch his position. He stood his ground. He was picked near the bottom of the draft.Terrel Pryor was also told if he wants to see any play time on the field he may have to switch his position from QB to another position. Judging by what's going on with the Raiders, Terrel may have to switch his position or be a bench warming QB.

And it's clear by the media's treatment of Cam, that even thou he was a better QB than Luck while he was in college, Unlike Luck, he is going to have to prove and never stop having to prove, he is capable of handling the position of QB in the NFL. I guess they never bothered to ask him if he wanted to switch back to his JR High school position of Linebacker.

Funny that now he's playing well, the same folks who have so many questions about his character and game as a QB are trying to elevate Luck, the more preferred QB based on nothing more than his presumed readiness, even more by debating which one they would take if they were team owners...Like how fugging stupid do these folk really think we are?

Something tells me Cam will never answer all of McShay's or Kips concerns and questions because they really doesn't have any. I believe this is the real QB competition these folks wanted in the 2011 draft but they didn't get it because Andrew stayed in school. They ended up having to settle for Baine Gabbert being their "choosen QB" against Cam.
