Good. Media's back in full swing this week spotlighting Cam. We'll see if Cam can win this time when the pressure is on him to do so and everyone's watching.

He can win when he's under the radar. But he has to show he's able to handle this too. You have another up and coming rookie adversary, with a good running game behind him, who can also make passes on the run and also almost took down GB. Ponder's probably feeling pretty good about himself.

One of the two will come out a hero out of this game. Who's it going to be? Will he choke or will he put his foot down? Man even I can feel this pressure building up. Huge game for Cam Newton. HUGE!

It's good to see that there are some Panther fans who will always try to find ways for Cam to prove himself.

So u feel Cam only won because The Golden Calf of Bristol was getting his spotlight...LMAO...U must not read much.

Who the heck said anything about The Golden Calf of Bristol? We were 1-5 coming off of a 3 game losing streak and he's obviously getting more media attention than he was the past couple of weeks. We have a chance to make a little run here and we're playing another rookie that actually looks more exciting than the past 2 QBs we've faced so yeah the pressure's up for Cam.

And Cam certainly still has a lot to prove. Win consistently is typically important. So is winning more than you lose. 4th quarter comebacks....you know...just those little things that most people consider a MUST from any QB. I swear some Cam homers are becoming more annoying by the week. You win one game last week and all of a sudden Cam's proven.

Winning is a team function and QB play is only one dynamic within that function. To deny that Cam hasn't proven himself in the weeks he's been starting in the NFL because the defense can't keep opposing teams out of the end zone is seriously dysfunctional thinking. Those 53 guys that dress up every Sunday and those who lead them are equally responsible for the Panther's record.

It's "homers" who hang the win and loss record on a rookie QB, who has shattered long standing rookie/debut records, that have became more annoying. Especially, when its glaringly evident to anyone who can digest and diagnose a game that the ability to score and QB play hasn't been the cause of such losses.

I agree. I think at this point Cam Newton has more than proven himself at his job. The question remaining to be determined is if the other 52 guys on the team can or will step up to do their parts. This, to me, is more a test of the Defense and Special Teams than it is of anyone on Offense.

    • He made some excellent throws but he always has made some excellent throws here and there. I don't know what to think, which is what I was apprehensive about. Is he going to have a decent downfield game? Because okay Legette dropped one, but someone was giving stats prior to the bye or during it where he had two downfield completions and one of them was the jump ball that is just launched and fingers are crossed that our guy comes down with it, and yesterday we saw that again. The Russell Wilson school of downfield passing.  I don't feel like that is sustainable, but at the same time you have to do Something to make the defense understand they have to defend that downfield throws. Like i said, confused.  I guess I'm going to review the game for myself and look closely at his mechanics and stuff because if he actually fixed that stuff it explains the better throws. And that has been my biggest objection, or what I see as the thing that makes or breaks his chances, that unorthodox dropback and tippy toe action and not having his feet set which limits velocity etc etc.
    • The negative Nancy in me (or objective?) says that they had a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs. However, it’s one thing to have a good plan and it’s another to actually execute it. For all the flack he’s received (from me as well), Bryce seemingly has put his head down and worked his tail off and his play is giving me hope. The first 18-game Bryce showed no progression whatsoever. He gets benched, comes back, and has shown steady progress every week he has started. I think I’m starting to see what the Bryce lovers and unconditional defenders were saying all along, and I hope he can show that on a regular basis for the sake of our QB1 position.
    • Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick.   I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
