He didn't have much flexibility with his contract and got it all guaranteed. Also under the new CBA rookies can't really holdout.

I mean "omg win something befor u talk fags" might be something that Saints fans could say but the Falcons are 4-3 and haven't won a playoff game with the current regime. It doesn't matter. Cam was supposed to be whining on ESPN and hosting specials like Lebron James and Cecil was supposed to be calling into radio shows and appearing on Rome is Burning talking about what a travesty the Panthers' offer was for his iconic son. None of that happened and the people who predicted it were dumb and wrong and probably bad people who don't take care of their pets.

Or, are you implying that the reason none of that happened in the first place is because it "never could have happened with the new CBA"? That's a little different.

Cam was basically locked into a contract so it wasn't really up for negotiation. I have no clue what the negotiations would have been like under the old CBA

Ultimately it's what Cam will want to do, nothing else and if he doesn't want to play here I don't want him to play here. It never ends well (Peppers, Collins) to keep a players talent here and their hearts be elsewhere.
