AP sat out practice on wednesday...

I saw this on NFL network this morning oddly enough their website doesn't say anything. I doubt it prevents him from playing maybe they are just resting him, the less violent cuts he can make the better.

Really it doesn't matter though any running back and whoever Peterson's backup is can put together a winning performance. But a healthy Peterson could win the game all by himself even with Cam throwing for 400+.

It's a very scary match up we have going here, The vikings don't give up much against the run and they run the ball very well. We are horrible against the run and the run offense feels like it's over achieving at least from my POV.

AP being out would certainly help, I think his back up is Gerhart and I'd rather face a power guy than somebody who is more a perimeter runner.

it sounds like your downplaying the importance of AP to the vikings. his nickname is "all day." its AP. if he doesn't play, we win by double digits

AP isn't that important when our run defense is so bad. One play that stuck out to me is Johnson got great penetration but the runningback was able to just out run him to the edge because all the LBs were getting tangled up on the O-lineman. They seem to have no agility at all. Connor would have been a beast 40 years ago but the game has changed.

Playing like it's college has worked for the offense maybe we should go with the 4-2-5 on defense?

Minnesota is good against the run because their secondary is so weak that teams just decide it is easier to pass down the field versus run it. I don't care how we move the ball as long as we do it.

I can't imagine that we won't load up the box and come heavy with the run blitz. As long as defenders play disciplined football and stay in their lanes we should be okay. Make Ponder beat us with his arm.

This game (AP) scares me. we gotta get up on them early and put it all on Ponders shoulders. Then watch him crumble and crawl away crying like a baby.
