One good game with Clausen is worth at least 4 with Newton.

Ive got as much of a man-crush on newton as you do (although yours is more of a raging hard on that you would suck 10 dicks for the chance to shove it in his ass at any given moment) i just dont see gettis being that much of a factor.

who else besides Smith and olsen/shockey get the receptions?

Dang we got some real Gettis doubters, funny how many hated on LaFell (LaFail) last year and during the pre-season and now many want him as the #2. Gettis has sprinter speed, adn he's 6'3" he has the tools/talent to exceed in the vertical attack...so why so many doubters?

caz many of the people on here stopped watching panther football the past 2 years and didnt start up again until the cammy cam show started.

Yeah, people hated Lafell last year, but now he's the greatest person ever.

I'm not assuming, I'm just not doubting, I believe you're the one acting under assumptions. I never predicted stats or success, I simply want players on this team to perform well.

For a rookie WR, with a rookie QB, on a bad offensive team, to many he was one of the bright spots, he showed more promise than LaFell, so why would someone be inclined to believe he doesn't have the potential for a break out year under a better offensive system, as well as a QB who can deliver the ball beyond the check down?

he's become a sad joke at this point. pi worthy if you've moved on.
I don't hear about AE in any of these future plans...is he still not ready?
his part of the playbook might not be installed yet. or he might be irrelevant going forward. not sold on him being the return guy we need, but it seems like the team is invested in giving him that chance.
For everyone saying Gettis is the best deep threat on the team, you are all IDIOTSSSSS.
only one 's' is needed and there's no reason to shout.

smith is the best receiver and no one is saying that he isn't a deep ball threat of whatever. we don't have one beside smith. deep ball will be better off with both gettis and smith than with just smith.

btw...gettis is faster than smith. that is no slight to smitty. it's just the truth.

He is a luxury at this point, so I see all precautions being taken. Plus his injury was so early in the year, he will have plenty of recoup time.
agreed. we'll have a dominant offense without him. the dimension he brings just makes us even more dangerous downfield and really opens things up all over.
