Predict the score of the Vikings game

You're BIG on talking about this Road vs. Home deal.

That is because anyone who knows anything about football knows it makes a big difference especially to some teams. Look at us, we are 2-2 at home and those close losses were to New Orleans and Green Bay. On the road we are 0-3 wiith losses to Arizona, Chicago, and Atlanta. You think playing at home or away makes a difference to us? I tried to tell folks who thought we would blow out Atlanta that we don't play well in the Georgia dome and was right.

Look at Arizona for example. What is their record coming to the East Coast versus playing at home. Think it does't matter?

Minnesota has played pretty well at home but worse on the road. You think coming to a hostile environment on the road might affect a rookie quarterback.

I can't believe most of you don't see the obvious.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on the Home vs Away metric in general. In fact, my survival pool (I'm still kicking) analysis always begins with who's playing at home, and only then do I move on to favorable matchups. I also agreed with your prediction for the game.

What I took issue with above is you identified a team trend without accounting for a very significant change in circumstances, i.e., Minnesota finally benched a completely washed up QB with no further will to compete. To declare that Minnesota is a "bad road team" (that is to say, worse than other teams on the road relative to their own abilities) based on their 6 game history this year with McNabb is simply uninformed at this point. That's not to say it won't prove to be correct, but I don't think you have the information to draw that conclusion as of today.

Im not saying Home vs. Road isnt a factor. Maybe its just playing in Domes...its louder..more confusing..for visiting teams. I dont know. But its more than just home vs road
