Newton is a great quarterback, but he's not "changing the game". He's playing the game at a very high level, same as guys like Brett Favre, John Elway, Steve McNair and others did before him.

And the game is already changing. Cam is just giving it a big shove into the future.

I think Cam has shown people that you can be the biggest, fastest, strongest, and toughest athlete around and still excel at the quarterback position at every level. I don't know if that was always an option before.

Cam is unique, but he's not going to change how the QB position is played because you won't be able to go out and find another QB like Cam.

Agreed, can't remember who said it in an interview but someone said that right now in pop warner the biggest, strongest and fastest kids on the team will see that it's okay to play QB because of guys like Cam.
