We are creating the environment that Cam is bigger than the team, bigger than any other player on the team, and has his own set of rules.

If you like that environment, fine, but we've seen this movie play out.

A guy who claims he doesn't hate Cam but is forever trying to undermine everything he does, says or is written about him.:rolleyes:

If Cam were just any other rookie then I would agree that he should fully participate in this sort of thing, but he's not.

Are the other rookies expected to do all the same stuff Cam is expected to do?

Like I said, I think it's a really nice gesture for Cam to even show up at this sort of thing - I certainly wouldn't have expected it.

I don't wish Cam to fail. I'm just holding him accountable for his actions since becoming a Panther. You're not the least bit interested in why he didn't partake in this event for sick children when every other past rookie has? He gets a pass because he's Cam right? Feed that mentality but don't be upset when it gets too big for you.

Please. You've been nitpicking the dude to death for over a year now, and you're now trying to grasp for something since he's performing so well on the field that you have to resort to speculating about why he wasn't present for an event when you have zero idea of what the circumstances are.

Let it go. Look in the mirror. Make changes. Live a better life.

This is typical.

You can rationalize it any way you want. Cam has been treated different since he became a Panther and I personally do not think that is a good thing. Vick was given treatment as well and he eventually thought he was bigger than everything.

How are we supposed to become a team when it's Cam Newton and everyone else?

Hey donk, he was present, he just wasn't dressed up like everyone else. He's too big too dress up. He's Cam Newton. He wasn't a year ago. He couldn't control Auburn like he can control the Panthers.

The fact that he didn't have a custome on could have been a number of reasons. Don't see why any of it has to be a bad sign on his part.

I'd like to hear them. There is not 1 good excuse for him to be there but not be dressed up.

Double edged sword, honestly.

You're asking your rookies to all go and talk to kids in the hospital. But really, how many of those kids are going to know who Terrell McClain is? All they're going to know is he's a big football player in a goofy costume, which is generally enough for the little ones.

Put Newton - whom pretty much everybody knows - in the middle of that though, and how many kids are going to respond to anyone else? You'll notice they split up, so then you've got some kids going "I got to see Cam" while another one tries to figure out how to pronounce Kealoha Pilares.

Given that, I can see a rationale for excluding him from it.

The speculation here is just ridiculous. No one here knows the circumstances or what exactly happened. Maybe he had an emergency for whatever reason and had to show up late with no time for a costume. Maybe he (or someone else) took off from the stadium and left his costume behind by accident. Who really cares. This is such a non-issue it's stupid.

And how do u know he didn't participate? We got like a 3:05 minute video-clip. So we are to assume those guys went and visited only three kids and Cam not being in any of the 3 minute video-clip meant he didn't visit any of the kids? WOW...ur a piece of work.

Do U seriously believe the BS U post..Oh my gosh..U are so full of it.

Jesus Christ, by participate I mean he didn't dress up, like every other rookie.

Spin this, blame it on the media. Tell me Cam changed after the video was shot and spent hours there even after all his teammates left.

Bottom line: Every rookie since this started has dressed up for the Panthers. Cam Newton did not dress up for this tradition.
