After 7 games, is Cam already a.....

why would you put Freeman in the top 10? he's got a 73 QB rating, 10 interceptions, and has been a pretty major disappointment this season. Cam is absolutely better than Freeman.

it's pretty much Brady/Rodgers/Brees in the top tier, then Cam is somewhere in that second tier, below Ben/Rivers/etc. Give it a few seasons and he could be in that top tier.

I think everyone is getting a little ahead of themselves this question can't be truthfully answered by anyone for another 2-3 years. Were all homers here so of course hes a top 5 QB to us, it's when you start hearing cams name next to aaron rodgers and tom brady then you know he's made it.

Rivers is not with that to group.

Elite: Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Brees in no order

Tier 1: Roethlisberger, Romo, Vick, Cam, with Stafford and Freeman on the bubble

Then theres the Manning, Rivers, Ryan, Sanchez, Schaub, Fitzpatrick level with Dalton, Bradford, and Cassel on the bubble on down through Flacco, Smith, and Kolb group of guys that have been or could be good.

Rivers had consecutive years of 34,28,and 30 touchdowns with over 4000 yards. No way is Newton better than Rivers.

Rivers is all stats dumping balls off on screen plays getting yards in the run game and throwing it up to Gates and all those big receivers. I wouldn't trade Newton for Rivers for even one play.

All im talking about is starting a franchise...Manning is 35, Brady is 34, Rodgers is 27, Newton is 22 years old. Who are you going with? Better way to think of it is...starting off this year, you are the coach of the 2011 Carolina Panthers. Which qb would u rather have?

For me its Rodgers then Cam...

Since Rivers ran the same offense Cam is running now can you take that back, cuz what is wrong with any of that?

I was talking to someone about this today.

Elite:

1. Manning

2. Rodgers

3. Brady

4. Brees

1st Tier:

5. The Rapest

6. Vick

7. Rivers

8. Homo

9. Cutler

10. Ryan

11. Cammy Cam

12. Stafford

13. Freeman

etc.

Brees, Manning and Brady are all over 32 and will be gone in a few years.

Killa Cam shall take his place among the elites with in 2-3 years.

there are only a very small number of QBs I'd rather be building a team around.

This statement sums up all that matters. You can throw stats and rankings out the window.

Of course that would mean the talking heads would have to report actual news instead of what they all do now, but that is off topic and a pet peeve of mine that I will eave alone.

    • He's turned into quite a gunslinger
    • Hey guys, remember when we won those meaningless games in 2010 and it cost us the #1 pick and the chance to draft Cam? Oh.... right I get that's more of an extreme example because it got us a HOF caliber QB.  But it's the general concept, you want to win late season games when you have the pieces in place to make a run the next season, we currently are not in that place. Herbert and Sewell are the ones I point to so much, because we literally lost out on 2 franchise different makers by 1 draft slot.  Give us those two players while we still have CMC, Moore, and the rest of the picks we gave up for Bryce, and we'd have been a legit playoff contender the last few years. Draft position matters in the NFL more than any other sport (other than the #1 pick in the NBA in a year with a generational talent).
    • It’s so crazy. If we had a shot for pick 1 and there was some generational player there then yeah maybe I could get behind the draft position argument. I’d say most GMs and coaches aren’t diving into the draft right now. They are trying to win games.
