After 7 games, is Cam already a.....

lol. Can we please wait until Cam has even one game when we're down on points running a 2 minute offense late in the 4th quarter and scoring for the win or tie before we do this? And then wait for him to do it once more time after that before opening this discussion. Or how about we wait until his QB rating at least crosses the 90.0 mark. Right now he compares favorably to Vick.

Yeah as long as you only expect to win when we're up by 2 scores or more or playing the Jaguars in a monsoon.....he's up there with those guys and can put up a bunch of yards. If you ignore consistency, sure. If you ignore ability to call a no huddle, and read defenses like a book and trick them with just a look, sure. If you ignore winning in clutch fashion late in the game, sure.

He's definitely in the top 5 rookie QBs of all time but you are getting way ahead of yourself and being awfully disrespectful or at least awfully discrediting to guys like Brady, Brees, Peyton, etc.

Can you please stop being such a terrible poster on the Huddle and take the hint since you have been banned about 10 times in the last month??

Da Burger belongs in tier 1, with both of his rings. He's def top 5 and I don't like him.

I've always hated the "wins/championships" argument. Team sport, team loss. R.Burger is definitely borderline top-tier, but it's a little different in other sports like basketball or baseball where an individual effort can win you the game, but in this game every play involves every player. Some are more involved than others, but every player needs to give 100%.

The classic argument of "Great but has no championships" isn't valid in this league.

It's not just about the rings, it's about how he played with a lack of weapons and still performed. Crap OL, one good WR until last season and still has great numbers. He belongs at the top IMO.

Brady is one pick behind him

Edit: so is brees. Cam has 9 they have 8. Checking the stats he's a top 5 qb and top 5 RB. Guess he's a "running" qb afterall.

i mean if you're going by this season then yeah

but they have multiple seasons with great stats and sb rings. its would be like saying matt moore is already up there with brady and manning in december of 2009, when he destroyed 2 playoff teams.

I'll agree with that, I am most impressed with how focused he has remained this year with all of the pressure he's been getting.

I just meant that to me, the rings do not add or subtract much from his greatness. I was only taking the opportunity to explain how much I hate that logic. It's ESPN banter. So many people try and justify or degrade the level of a player based on rings. If that were the case Dilfer would be as good as Manning and Barry Sanders wouldn't be a good RB because he never got a ring.

It's not directed at you Jack, mostly I'm just 10-deep after that MNF game and you gave me something to get pissed about. :D And that goes for everyone else talking about rings too. They don't mean a whole lot.

I thought he meant top 10 this year. Of course he can't be over the greats right now. Cam is on the way to break manning's and a few other records and doesn't seem like he's going to get worse as time goes by, only better.
