Cam's fakes are awesome

Maybe other QB's do this well and I just dont notice it... BUT ..... Cam is really good at the "Fake" ; whether he is faking the handoff and keeping the ball, or actually handing it off and faking that he still has it.

I am telling you... at least 5 or 6 times yesterday at the game I was watching the wrong guy :eek: I either thought Cam had the ball or one of our RB's did and was wrong.

I can only imagine how difficult it has to be on the opposing team defense, and feel this is another of the many tools in Cam's arsenal.

Cam does sell his fakes very well... he has the confidence to really hold the ball out on misdirection runs and then switch hands, which is very difficult for the defense to deal with.

He got me many times. I would think he gave it to the running back but then he still had it.

that was mos def our biggest adjustment at halftime. the amount of misdirection our backfield can create is just incredible. it really forced their pass rush to stop pinning their ears back and swarming wherever the ball was and caused a ton of confusion.

Wasn't there a thread on here a few weeks ago about how Cam didn't sell the fake well and would hold out the ball so obviously everyone could easily see it?? LOL

yeah. it was a really, really stupid thread. Cam's always been very good at selling the fake.

I was sitting on about the 5 yard line right where Cam's TD run was. When the play started and he faked it to Stew I yelled "OK J Stew!" but was pleasantly surprised and faked out. One of the other things he did so well at Auburn that's translated very well to the NFL. I love the head fake then drop back and throw the bomb.

I was at the game.... so the camera man was getting fooled just like I was.
