you guys also forget that we have a pretty decent RT on IR in Schwartz who might be fighting for the RT job next year. I don't think that RT is a glaring need going into the draft this year, we still have depth, and it helps that these young guys are getting playing time.

Bit early to say, but he's not doing bad. Needs to cut down on penalties though.

He played like crap the first quarter. Poor pass protection. Seems like from the 2nd quarter on he picked up his game.

Kalil(likely impossible) or Martin(also unlikely) or pass on OT in the draft. If you get one of the two either play him at RT or LG for the next few years so they are ready to step right in for Gross.

As for Bell, to early to tell. He was definitely a nice pickup no doubt, but seems like more of a depth guy than starter so far. Teams are really going after him, and having a lot of success.

Bell will be a backup next year if the Panthers want to make the playoffs and not get Newton injured.

Right now, I'd say he's a serviceable backup. I think we need a better starter though.

The rest of the year will tell us what we have with hogan and bell. Then we'll know where to go in the first round. I know a bunch of people are going to say DT, but the reality is there isn't much DT talent coming out this year. A whole lot of OT, and some awesome CB though.

I'd like a veterern there but I'll reserve comment on Bell till later in the season. I want to see if he learns from his mistakes or keep making them.

I'd rather him give up a wide open sack than get manhandled and beaten for a sack at this point. When he gives one up untouched it means he just didn't know the play called, which will come in time. If he continuously got beat because he simply could not defend against his rusher, that would cause more concern for me. Most of his negative plays have been temporary boneheadedness, which again, can be remedied in time I think.

I really don't notice he dumb plays until he gets called for holding (Which seems like twice per game), but a lot of time, he plays well, maybe not pro bowl caliber, but well enough to start.
