Irritating Bengal's Fans

TO was good to great last year. Palmer threw for 4000 yards. Ocho is Ocho

AJ Green is trying to get his feet wet.

Cam came to an offense that got better at literally every level. WR, TE, Coaching, Line, etc.

It's a dumb comparison but Dalton went to an offense that lost it's 3 best players.

What each of them is doing is impressive.

But anyone who thinks that the Panthers offense is all Cam and the Bengals wins are all their defense just want it to be that way because they love Cam and anything else is perceived as a knock on Cam.

Get real.

that I never said. Dalton is doing great and he is getting wins because of help from the defense.

If cam did have more help with the defense we would be winning more games too.

Just saying if wins are all that matter then its stupid.

how good would this offense be with jimmy clausen at the helm?

I just want to say it's dumb how everything comes back to ".....with Jimmy Clausen"

Why Jimmy? Why replace a starting QB with a fourth stringer who can't get active on game days? Why not replace him with...another starting QB, or even a backup?

This offense looks great no matter who is under center, except any ND QB. It's not a knock on Cam, he's been great. His situation allows him to have flashy numbers and make exciting plays, along with his natural abilities. The Ginger's situation requires him to manage the game, make plays, and not turn it over.

They both are doing their job. If you want to play the "what if" game, don't use the most extreme opposite case their could be with Clausen.

It really doesn't matter what any of us think. The analysts and reporters are the ones with votes, and I haven't heard any of them say that it won't be Cam. Tony Kornheiser spoke very briefly of Dalton one day, but other than that they are all saying Caaaaam! Whoa Caaaaaaaam!

Just like that. I know y'all have heard it.

Thought you were being an ass.

Offenses are very complex and just like anything, not everyone has the same mental capacity and ability to teach/learn.

If everyone knew the intricacies of these offenses, how to adjust, how to game plan, and how to call plays throughout the game, it'd be easy.

If everyone knew how to play the stock market...

So lets put it this way,

Cam Newton was never expected to do very well even in a qb friendly system in the pros.

He was supposed to struggle, Yet he went out and broke tons of rookie records, learned a very complex system and is now starting to really get into stride with how he is playing.

Andy Dalton came from a different type of system in college, is a game manager, yes does have less weapons but is known for understanding complex systems back in college.

He is winning games and looking impressive but has a defense that is second best in the league to help him out if he does struggle.

WHo do you think the journalists are going to pick?

I mean, there is so much that goes into an offense it's really hard to explain over this. Almost every route is an option that the QB, WR, Line, and backs have to be on the same page. The QB makes pre snap calls that change routes, protections, even plays.

doesnt that make what cam newton is doing much more impressive?
