Gantt: Delhomme here to stay

Mr. Scot

Jake has been a great QB for us for a long time. The only reason anyone is questioning him is because of the playoff game. I will admit he played horrible it made me very mad. However look at all of the other games he has lead us to the nfc chamionship. I agree we should be looking for a younger QB, but what about Matt Moore? He came in 2 seasons ago and went 3-1 and looked good in the loss against Dallas. I think we should develope Moore.

Moore didn't look good at all in pre-season last year, but I hope it was just him pressing too much. I believe he will get another shot to prove his worth. Watching this guy at training camp last year impressed me. Just from what I seen there he seems to be putting the extra work in and going the extra mile. I hope he turns in to something special.

Oh, good grief. Troy Smith? :willy_nilly:

Suddenly I'm more thankful than ever that fans have no part in the decision making process :nonod:

i actually wouldn't hate picking him up next year. great arm, fast, really smart, good vision. only real knock i have against him is he's a midget for a QB. i saw some places say he's 5'11.

fwiw, terrell suggs thought he should be QB over flacco.

bring him in and let him compete.

You don't actually follow any other players besides ones on this team do you? That explains a lot.

Troy Smith was highly regarded and still is by the Ravens FO, fans, and players. He would have started this year if tonsilitis hadn't taken him out. He looked very sharp in 2007 except for one bad game against Seattle.

But of course I wouldn't expect someone that only knows what goes on with the Panthers and even that is always through the eyes of one Mr. Darin Gantt to know about Troy Smith. :D

I don't think the Ravens will let him go. Flacco is certainly due for the all too common sophmore slump and a good back-up is needed. Anyway, wouldn't Smith be a restricted free agent next year? If so I'm willing to bet they put the 2nd round (or higher) tender on him if he continues to look decent.

Troy Smith? Are you kidding me?

If anyone here had mistaken you for someone who had a clue, you have certainly dispelled any of those thoughts now.

Stick to Madden...you obviously know absolutely nothing about real football.

Please since you're so knowledgeable about him, would you like to give me an analysis as to why he's a poor QB? His "height" doesn't count. Some of the best players we've ever had have been undersized.
