Statline-wise, the numbers aren't great, but Ponder had some pretty sharp throws the last two drives and he's been alluding pressure very well, so I'm not going to dismiss him next week, especially with the Panthers' defense.

I've watched the whole game and I'm telling you. The kid is good. Damn good! He's making some amazing passes on the run while threading a needle. He met Woodson like Cam met Woodson, but as a passer, this kid is very impressive.

Sleeping on him would be a huge mistake. He reminds of Brady as far as his clutch play making ability and accuracy but who can also pass on the run like Cam. And he's fast when he scrambles. Scary combo. It might be early but I think the Vikings have found their new franchise QB.

This guy and Peterson all of a sudden makes the Vikings game one of the hardest games on our schedule, if not the hardest. Vikings have also always given us trouble.

I saw both of his touchdown drives. Been busy since the Panthers game went off. Just not overly-impressed. Did decent for his first start, but you can tell he's a rookie. Much like I felt like Gabbert when we played the Jags. Just not worried about him. Now, in a year or two, I think Ponder could be a solid QB. But right now, nothing to be worried over. More worried about penalties and AP.

The Vikings are a team that plays A LOT better at home. I'm sure Peterson is gonna have a great day against us, but that doesn't guarantee a win. It's extremely important for us to get a early TD lead and make them non-conservative.
