I feel like Shockey and Olsen deserve votes...well I guess they haven't been AMAZING, but they are at least consistent. Nevermind, they aren't having Pro Bowl seasons, but they are HUGE difference makers.

the pro bowl is really just a fan voting thing for the players to see who gets to goto hawaii and play two-hand touch. I mean seriously, they should start doing charity poo if this is the direction the pro-bowl is going.

That's a lie. Know why?

Because these days, MEDIA drives everything. The more Pro Bowlers the Panthers can get, the better, for marketing reasons. Not just for merchandising, but free agency.

The Panthers get three of four Pro Bowlers this season, that'd be huge. Might lure a few guys here next season...hopefully on the defensive side.

it's a "game" that is a shallow honor. the game is stupid and a waste of time.

it's got very little to do with actual talent.

elite players don't want to go to it anymore.

the fact that you have two teams who aren't allowed to send players to it make it even sillier.

meh...keep on thinking it's valuable. it's a headache for GMs, btw. it does very little positive for the team.

Elite players don't want to go AFTER THEY'VE ALREADY GONE several times.

Players still wear that "Pro Bowler" tag like a badge of honor, so the more players you have on your team with it, the more attractive it makes your squad.

sure, it's a badge of honor for guys who haven't been there before. beyond that is has little value anymore.

fans being able to vote as many times as they want make it irrelevant.

two teams worth of players being taken out of the pool of potential players make it even more irrelevant. that it is the two best teams in the league that year make it even worse.

GMs get calls the day after players are named by agents asking for more money and do nothing but frustrate teams who are wanting to keep their talent and hopefully bring more in.

the game itself is a joke which means less people watch it. hype for the game is dwindling.

the most elite players are opting not to go because the game doesn't matter. yes, they might go the first or second time, but opting not to go is the "cool" thing to do.

the game doesn't mean anything, so why does it make sense for players to go out there and risk injury for an honorary game. that doesn't make sense at all.

sorry. i like my team too much to want any of them to go.

all-pro is where it's at. you want an honor? be hoping for that.
