If i'm remembering right Gettis and Lafells numbers last season weren't to much dif. from eachothers. Theres really not much of a reason to talk about what Gettis will do when he comes back becuz thats a long ways from happening, but i do know that Lafell has played well enuff to be a number 2 WR and Naanee has played well also as of late. I love Gettis but i'll name him the missin piece when he actually has the chance to play again.

I think the main problem is that Smitty is just so amazing he makes Legadu and Brandon look average at best when actually they can be pretty darn good.

When smitty went down in 2004 Moose stepped it up and had by far the best season of his career. I mean amazing. 1400 yards I think and 16 TDs

I would expect other guys to step up as well. Not to that high of a level, but remember that we have Shockey and Olsen too. Our offense isn't Smitty only even though he's still by far the best option on the team for Cam to go to.

One thing though... we need to run more screen plays. Williams and Stewart are both so great at it.

Love me some Lafell. I don't understand what he could possibly be doing wrong in practice to not earn 1 shot at starting over lafell.

Both LaFell & Gettis should work out well for us so let's hope they stay off the injury list these coming years

If we can upgrade this offseason, get the upgrade but I really like our receiving core

Smitty (of course)-Gettis-LaFell-Naane are actually quite dynamic options when at their highest level

I understand the context of what your saying but moose is not on this team anymore, and yeah i would expect the other WR to step up as well but remember we expected our LBs to do the same when our starters went down, and how has that looked for us? Especially when Linebacker was supposed to be the strength of this team. See where im going with this? People should not be getting blinded by success and acting like Smith cant get hurt, if people think he is not THAT important to our offense you need to check the receiving numbers and pass plays over 30 yards and stuff like that and see where we rank. Not trying to be a downer or anything and i would not have a problem if we went defense in the draft but again were not comfortable. Once again, people thought we wouldnt drop off like that when Beason went down and look where we are, and the TEs have been good but they are nowhere near close to breaking games open like Smith has been doing.

Lafell was good today, he laid a nice block on the Cam run on the first drive!! It was great. He came back on his route when Cam was running to to the right and knocked some Redskin player on his a**.

I was also happy when he caught that TD pass. I will say this, Legadu has played better these past two weeks.

Lafell is dat deal. Definitely impressed with his progression from last year to this point. He has definitely made strides and will continue to do so.

Defense in the draft needs to be the focal point. Pure and simple. We sure up that side of the ball, we're looking at a SCARY good team for YEARS to come.
