Cam's performance.

Ur right, the Bengals isn't playing this week. Even if Christian doesn't win, he's making a very strong statement. Any rookies who's putting up strong points against the packer, is holding his own.

BTW, is this the team u guys play next week? Oh my...Cam is going to have to put up 50 points to keep them from winning with ur defense. Their offense look pretty solid right now.

Does anyone else find it ironic that this QB class is looking like it might be a very strong class despite it being so maligned leading up to the draft.

How many times did you hear before the draft "wait and get a QB next year when there will be better QBs available" by some draftniks.

Dalton looks good, Ponder looks good, Gabbert look okay (meh), we still don't know what Locker or Mallett might do but they both had promising games in the preseason.

And Cam is...well.... Cam fuggin Newton.

Could go down as a great QB class.

Cam had an excellent game, however, I dont agree with him calling his own number repeatedly in the redzone, that shows a lack of faith in the rest of the offense. also, I dont mind Cam scrambling to try and pick up a first down but that helicopter stunt was plain stupid, he wasnt going to get anything with it, he was too far away. very dangerous and he could have ended his season and career onthat play.

I think Cam has the mind of one of those quick and fast running backs like Chris Johnson with the Titans when he runs.

Gotta admit, Cam sure knows how to "juke" those DBs and linebackers pretty good. He has 4.5 40 speed ... the same as a lot of the bigger receivers in the NFL.

However ... the Panthers sure as heck cannot afford to lose Cam for the season due to injury. Chud shouldn't be calling for running plays by Cam every time he goes out for a new set of downs. Not in the NFL with the big boys. In moderation, it'll be fine.

I bet the Raiders had a good shot at the playoffs with Jason Campbell in there until he broke his collarbone last week. I doubt that Carson Palmer will do any better than Campbell. He'll probably play worse since he has a super steep learning curve with their offensive system.

I just read that Carson actually played today and he threw 3 interceptions and completed only 38% of his passes ... 17.3 QB rating. The Raiders lost 28-0 to the Chiefs ... hardly a powerhouse team this year.

Bottom line ... obviously it's REALLY bad when your star QB gets injured for multiple games or the rest of the season ... so Chud better be careful in how he uses Cam this year.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
