I think its kinda crazy to see how much we had to give up to get this guy compared to Everette Brown. This guy is going to be a solid back up for years to come. I wonder how long his current contract is?

I was planning on making an Applewhite thread if I didn't see any already. I am happy to see that others have noticed how much this guy brings to our crappy defense. If we can just get a decent defensive tackle our Defensive line will be as talented and as deep as the d-line we had in the early 2000's. I honestly think this guy was just at the wrong position in the wrong scheme and Rivera knew that.

Good signing for the Panthers

Draft picks are mostly speculation because none of them have played a NFL snap. Sometimes they fail miserably. It's rare that a released player makes an impact, but chalk this good move up to Rivera's inside knowledge of Applewhite. I hope he has more to show, I loved what I saw on Sunday.
