He can block and he can catch. He provides mismatches for defenses and would only open up our offense that much more. (which if u haven't noticed, we can use more pts on the board cause our D is pooty!)

He's still way better than Legadu or ochostinko at this point. JR/Hurney love Drew's clients.

Agreed that T.O. is better than Legadu, but to bring on a 37 year old with past team chemistry problems is a big no-no. We have enough egos on offense and one more as big as T.O.'s could tear this team apart IMO

TO would have been a great idea 3 weeks ago. Now that this season is done he would not bring much benefit. No playoff push and no real help for Cam.

Ok so yea I tried the Search and it was down just so know. Still the man has had time to rest and could be valuable. No one can deny his skills and while he may be a stop gap he will also be a threat on this team where on other teams he would fail because he is the only guy. Steve Smith can make avg WRs look great. Also he is better than anything we have right now. Its not like we have to trade for the guy and he could be useful on a 2 year contract.

Ok I see a lot of misconceptions about TO.

1) He isn't a problem in the locker room these days. His last 2 years were with the Bengals and Bills. He brought no negativity there.

2) He had a decent year last year. That doesn't really translate over to this year, but you have to look at his body of work and it seems as long as he has a competent QB he will catch the ball.

3) Ok so he has lost 5 steps. He is a big dude. Always usable in the redzone. Which is our biggest problem on offense. We are good at running up and down between the 20's.

4) But above all else we are a young developing team. I'd rather develop our current WRs than bring a one year curative to the team.

owens is ancient and is a few months removed from major knee surgery. even a young body would not be productive this soon. prob can't compare anything he did even as recently as last year to what he is capable of now

Like some people have said before, I'd rather focus on developing our young core of receivers. I really wish LaFell would get more playingtime so he could get more experience, it seems like he's made nothing but excellent plays catching hard catches and fighting for yards this season. If Rivera hasn't changed Naanne from the starting job by now, we'll probably be stuck with him for the rest of the season as #2 unless he really fugs up.
