NEED ADVICE: my Xbox Broke, 2 Red Rings of Death (?)

is the red ring of death an issues with any of the new versions of the xbox

Its a consumer electronic device. It still has a significant failure rate. But the hardware issues that plagued the Xbox 360 in the beginning have been fixed for the most part. It shouldn't break down any more than other electronic devices.

Well....

I called M$ to request a repair, and argued it should be covered under warranty. Called twice and both times they said that 2x red rings were only covered for 1 year, and that they only extended the warrenty for the 3 red ring issue!!!!

So I called back 2x times telling them that I had 3 RROD, and they basically told me they had records of my serial number and my other calls and I would have to pay $150 for repair that would take 6 weeks, and only have a 3 month warranty.

I do not want to pay $150 on something that may or may not work right (thats half the damn cost of a new one).

So I had been messing around on Youtube looking to fix it myself. I found what I thought was the solution (a video showed a guy who took his xbox apart and the cooling tower on the CPU and GPU was really dusty). I thought this had to be my problem. So I took it apart, and it was not dust, and looked fine inside.

Well now I have a 120 gb Xbox Black Elite, with 2 RROD and a voided warranty. What the hell do I do with it now? I would like to sell it for parts, how much could I get?

I guess I am going to have to buy one on black friday...

Sell it on Ebay and in the title big letters BROKE and you will be suprised how much you get for it.

I just bought the black 250gig wifi.=/hdmi and all that for $160 at the Money Man. My original one that was replaced 4x by Microsoft still works great going to clean it up and give to the kids for Xmas....
