I don't think the FO or coaching staff even expected him to have this much swag right away. He'll definitely attract some other players to Charlotte that probably wouldn't have considered such a thing in past years. At least that's what I'm hoping..

Cam is a great leader.

He wants to change this franchise, and the city.

Which brings me to the fans that think cam will bolt charlotte as soon as he can (mentioned in multiple other threads)....

He wants to make this team a feared team. He the fans to get out there and support thier team more.

He wants to be one of the greats, and he wants to take the panthers with him.

So can the talk of him leaving after his rookie contract, end?

He sounds like he's also sending a message directly to the Panthers fans. Get ur head into the game and start supporting ur Team...Stop all the second guessing and doom and gloom and go cheer them on..

Please explain how him saying the players need to play like they can win every game is sending a message to the fans

I dont understand this line of thinking either. As long as the team and fans do right by him (and they have so far) why would he leave? Our team and city is close to his family's home and we've pretty much given him the key to the city. If we reward him with a nice contract (which our owner has shown time and time again he will OVERPAY to keep our own) he has no reason to leave us.

the only thing that will hurt our chances of keeping him around is a lack of effort to put talent around him and require him to carry the team for years on end.

if he is going to be the "face of the franchise" we should be going into every year knowing that he is going to put his best effort in and everyone else around him doing the same, including the FO making sure he has the best coaches and best teammates to help them reach their goals.

imo, that was the problem with keeping lebron in cleveland and barry sanders in detroit (and in the league).
