I agree with you, I think what the boys did is much worse. My only problem is your first sentence. To me when I hear phrases like "he/she just made a mistake when they were young" or "he/she just wasn't mature enough" that sounds like giving them a pass. Like it was ok because of their age. I know that isn't what you were doing, but that is what I think of every time someone says that.

If you're talking about knowing killing is wrong, I agree. But I have yet to meet a teenager that had the maturity of an adult. Kids make stupid decisions and mistakes.

No I'm not expecting them to be that mature. But doing outside, at school, in front of other boys. IMO 14 is mature enough to understand that is dumb as hell. I'm not saying she deserves to have this happen to her because I don't think anyone deserves to be embarrassed like this. But it wasa result of a dumb decision on her part so I feel as those she doesn't deserve my sympathy.

We used to smash girls all the time in college on webcam with the live feed in the living room then we'd put them up on the wall of shame.

Honestly I'm horrified, it doesn't help that my daughter was just born, but I'd still be horrified.

What world are we living in that it's ok to treat a 14 year old girl like a porn star just because some lowlife guy manipulates her into doing something incredibly stupid?

Females are emotional by nature, throw in puberty and it's the perfect storm of hormones and emotions. When a girl in that situation falls for a guy he can get her to do just about anything. The moral burden lies with the guy to not take advantage of that fragile state. When he does he is guilty of a much more heinous offense than trying to please a lover.

It makes me sad to know that my children are growing up in a world where objectifying and humiliating girls is ok because "they ask for it".
