Usually when Hurney tries to make a "bold" move, he fugs up. e.g. AE, EB, contracts to DLo and TD (even the contract to CJ is stupid), extending Delhomme.

When Hurney sits back and drafts without being "bold" and signs FA to reasonable deals, he ends up doing well. e.g. He got JA at a good deal in FA, while drafting many players late in the draft that have panned out.

He had his surgery in August 2010, the team said they thought he would be able to play week 1 against the Giants. In November, they decided to put him on IR because they didn't want to rush his rehab and they wanted to make sure he was completely healed and ready for 2011. Now here we are in 2011. He is being put on IR because.....they want to make sure his knee gets healed up so he is ready for next season.

This was a pretty minor surgery, the rehab should not have taken this long. I don't care what doctors he was seeing, whether team doctors or private doctors (during the lockout), he should have been ready to play this season. In reality, he was a year behind their original time table for his return.
