Bobcats leading scorer??

So the NBA lockout situation hasn't looked too promising in the past few weeks, but it appears the 16 hour federal mediation session yesterday between the two parties might be helping. They are meeting again today (right now actually) so maybe there is hope. Assuming the season does get saved, who is going to lead the bobcats in scoring this year with Wallace and Jackson both out of town now? :confused5:

Maggette, D.J., Kemba, Diaw, Biyombo?! ha

Maggette for sure..but don't be suprised if Kemba makes tons of noise. There is something about him that makes me feel that he going to very good for us. Idk if he'll have the exact same impact Cam has had already on the Panthers..but I could see it as something similar one day.

am I wrong? do we not still have gerald henderson? he's the most proven (besides diaw's sorry ass) talent on the team right now.

Yep, Henderson is still on the team, but he's only been in the league like 2 years. Maggette is like a 10 year vet. Hard to argue he isn't the more proven player.

I do think that if Kemba plays well DJ may become trade bait. Him and Kemba are similar in size but Kemba, imo, as more upside. Having a lineup one day with..

pg-kemba

sg-Hendo

SF-maggette (young drafted sf to take his place)

PF - bitchsmack ya mom bro

C - kwame?

obviously there is lots of rebuilding, but i feel like with the new gm in place we might start making more noise in the draft, etc. Needs for next year include SF and C depending on how well bitchsmack develops.

Didn't Maggette just kill somebody? For some reason he and Javaris Crittenton I always mix up.

I think Hendo has been the best surprise draft pick the Bobcats have had ever. He's outperformed all my expectations and now I expect him to keep it up.

On an unrelated note, I saw Nolan Smith at Cabo Fish Taco about a month ago. He's bigger and scarier looking in person than I imagined watching him on TV. He's got good taste in restaurants though.

haha, that was definitely Crittenton. Not too much of a surprise since he was stashing guns in his locker along with agent 0.

I wonder if biyumbo is even going to play this year. He may not be able to get out of his contract.

    • After the Chiefs game a 6'5 X would really help in the Red zone. I would also love to add Slayton in FA
    • But again, you can restock a defense through free agency much easier than offensive skill positions. Spend all our cap space on defense, take a true elite prospect who also happens to fit a position of need in T-Mac, and then use the rest of our picks on defense. Again, every season there’s a smattering of great DL, LB, and DB options in free agency, a Top 10 WR never hits free agency, ever.  The only way you get one is through the draft or giving up 1st round picks in a trade for one. If he’s there when we’re on the clock, he has to be the pick, he’s just that good.
    • It must be an early Christmas for JT O'Sullivan having Thielen back so he could put a coal in Thielen's stocking every chance he gets.  Honestly, the biggest surprise is not so much the anticipation. There were those moments here and there last year as well. It's that even that one positive quality he had seemingly vanished his first two games to where it looked like it was all but over, only for it to start coming back some until you get exclamation points all over this game film. And some of those throws were under a lot of duress, something I feel is something new. Finally, those deeper shots are starting to land. Not all of them, but enough that defenses may have to start respecting them. No guarantees whether this will end up as more of anomaly but I certainly hope it isn't. The Green Bay game was a sampler of what BY could be. Against KC, we got a meal. If we could start getting these meals regularly, we might actually have something to work with here.
