Otah to IR

Damn that's the end of Otah. Matt Kalil come on down.

If the rams pick before us then they'll probably pick him up first.. or maybe they will get a WR, not sure. We'll have a much better idea of who we will draft when we know our exact draft position and the college and nfl seasons are over. Although right now it seems sort of wide open.. Maybe we would lean more towards a WR if drafting high or some defensive player or offensive tackle if we draft lower.

I just don't see us drafting a WR when there are some actual major holes on our roster. WR is not a problem spot yet. We will be getting Gettis back so that will be as good as drafting a WR.

how many have been on IR every year of those 3.....can't compare an apple to an orange.

Unless there is reason to believe Otah won't be willing to be depth next season....no reason to cut him.

So you think an OL who has been on IR for 2 seasons in a row for knee issues can recover and come back to compete in the NFL?

I've defended Hurney plenty of times in the past... thought he was a good salesman to get good players to sign for us, made decent financial decisions, thought he'd built a decent team.

After the past three years, I just can't anymore... to me, the one done here should be Hurney. I am no longer going to believe he has a clue as to what he's doing. Otah, hope you get better soon and can walk later in life, but as a starter in the NFL - not gonna cut it pal. TD.. loved his desire to play, but that's too many knee snaps in so short a span of time - done. Hurney... you're the fugstick that's created this complete shithole of an upside down cap hit and craptastic draft trading disaster. Hit the road... you suck.

Heard on the radio The Drive w/ Marc and Taylor....claimed that Otah likes to do too much partying and drinking down in Miami during his offseason....Good Job Otah way to take your profession seriously.

Trade Otah. Keep Thomas Davis (pray that his knee can hold up). Sign a good free agent WR...sign some FA OL help...trade down get more picks and draft like hell to build the defense.

Ahh... so Otah caught a case of Collinsitis. That would explain a great number of things about him.

I guess it all depends on where we'll be drafting. We could probably keep Otah on the roster and still draft an OT, maybe Otah can try guard.

We cannot depend on Thomas Davis for anything. I'm all for giving him another shot with the team but we have to have a player in place who's ready to play. That way if TD comes back we've got a surplus, then we won't be SOL like this year.

Yea i'll agree with this. Just hate it for Davis. The guy is a great player. Maybe the team should try a new surgeon and medical staff.

Oh... btw... while Cam is making our Offense look amazing... here's a little something about our pass protection and how Otah's absense might be felt:

http://www.nfl.com/player/camnewton/2495455/profile

Cam has been sacked 10 times in 6 games. He's on pace to be sacked 26 or 27 times this year.

That's not good even if he's making plays and keeping drives alive.
