Just want to point out for all those "Thomas Davis' extension was really only a 1 year deal" people we'll be dealing with a 5.6 million dollar cap hit in 2012 for releasing him this offseason. This for a guy that was already under contract for 2011. Had we not extended him we would have paid him 3.8 million this year and cap hit for 2012 would be $0. Instead we pay him $8 million for 2 games this year and deal with a 5.6 million cap hit next year. The only reason we haven't released him already is because we can't absorb the cap hit right now.
