Make him think, throw all types of exotic and complex looks at him.

I literally laughed out loud.

I know, right? Every team we have played thinks they have the magical ability to dial up exotic schemes that will confuse him. Every single one.

This game may look a lot like the Jacksonville game would have looked minus the rain. Washington has a good, aggressive defense. What they lack is a runner like MJD, so hopefully we can shut them down.

Edit: And let's all hope and pray Otah can go.

Edit2: So much for hoping and praying.

Yes, complex and exotic looks that their defense isn't ready to implement. The Packers, Falcons and Saints could pull the stunts off and it really didn't help them that much with Cam. With the talent level of the Redskins, they very well may throw themselves off with complex looks and movement.

one thing she (and others) said that is probably really true and really good for us going forward.

Newton's decision making is still raw and i think the Skins can take advantage of that.
this is one thing i keep on seeing. for a rookie, his decision making has been pretty good, esp. considering that he isn't in an offense that tries to protect and hide the rookie QB in a scheme with a ton of running and short/high percentage throws that essentially just groom the QB to be a game manager. (holy run-on sentence, batman!).

anyway...that's essentially what DCs are relying on to beat him. they are counting on their advantage being his inexperience and the decision making of a rookie. so what are they going to rely on when he gets more experienced and he's seen "all types of exotic and complex looks" from more aggressive defenses? what are they going to do when he's had time to learn how to beat the cover/zone defense (which seems to be where he is weakest so far).

a full offseason with a year under his belt and an additional WR or two (as well as a defense and special teams that is improved and won't put him and the offense in such offensive situations) and this kid is going to be a monster to stop.
