163 points.

Technically, you can say we're worse than Indy in this category because their defense has had 410 plays against them to get those points versus our 345. With 65 more plays who knows how many points we'd have given up.

Edit: Also, we are tied with them for the 28/29th spot for most points per game.

Clearly, something is horribly, horribly wrong with our D besides injuries. We weren't this bad last year. Surprising considering Rivera was a DC.

Even Jake Delhomme is ashamed of our Defense.

Forcing turnovers is the biggest thing. It does so much for the O and the D. A lot of defense are not that great in terms of personnel but are able to get turnovers.

Oh for sure... this is a huge problem.

But making defensive stops can eliminate points from turnovers. For example... we had the Falcons in a 3rd and 12 and gave up 20+ yards on a key drive that ended in 7.

It seems like we are trying to play zone defense but sucking at it. When I watch our defenders, it looks as if our guys are moving in slow motion to the ball or stopping a play.

So much for an attacking defense. :(

technically you can say that St Louis, Denver, and KC are all below Indy and Carolina since they have had a bye week and are giving up more points per game
