The conditional pick in 2013 that the Bengals acquired in Tuesday's Carson Palmer trade will be a first-rounder if the Raiders win one playoff game.

If the Raiders don't get a playoff win, the 2013 pick will be a second-rounder. They get the 2012 first-round pick regardless. Either way, it's an exceedingly high pricetag for a quarterback that was a shell of the Pro Bowl player he once was when last seen on the field. I really don't make jokes about death, no matter how easy the target is. So to put it bluntly, with Al Davis gone I really thought these decisions would cease. Apparently, he wasn't forciing them to pull the trigger on a lot of those things.
