Dareus lines up at LDE. according to FO, against runs from behind right tackle and right end buffalo's defensive line ranks 27th and 21st league wide.

what an immediate impact anchor stud dominate dt dareus is we should've traded cam straight up for him and fitzpatrick when we had the chance the defense would make a complete 180

One thing that is abundantly clear to everyone who looks at the Bengals vs. Panthers, Dalton is the winner. Even the guy on NFLN stated it, Dalton has the WEAPONS AROUND HIM and he has them now. So the truth of the matter is, a QB needs WEAPONS around him to HELP win games.

That was my main point when I said that the Bengals have become stronger as a team. Dalton went down in the first half of his first game. The back-up QB came in and he and TEAM finished the job.

As a stronger rookie QB, I'd give Cam the edge but as part of team, Dalton is clearly the winner.

lol that anchor is really making a difference on buffalo's 31st ranked defensive line against the rush, 2nd worst only to the panthers. they're dead last in rushing the passer btw. dareus isn't "anchoring" anything at this point and his impact on his team is miniscule in comparison to newton, whether or not we're winning games.

I hope ur being sarcastic cause these two postings sound like u did a 180 in less then 15 minutes...:D

the bengals weren't struggling?

how is 4-12 not struggling?

they also lost two of their starting WRs and arguably their best cornerback... I mean yeah their defense was still okay, but so was ours...

Their defense was still ranked higher than ours, despite having 11 players on IR (7 in the secondary alone). And the year before that, they were 4th in the entire league. AJ Green more or less is equal to a TO that is getting close to 40 and is coming off a major knee injury and Chad Ochocinco as Patriot fans would attest is addition by subtraction. Jerome Simpson is a former 2nd round pick who was playing well late last season, and would easily be our #2 receiver. So I can't buy that Dalton is the one who is pulling the team up by his bootstraps.

I don't understand why race matters?

It doesn't matter until you let it affect your posting. Some guys take everything Cam Newton related personal, instead of as entertainment and as part of their favorite team. Those guys feel they have something extra invested in Cam.

Aren't we a bit judgemental...:rolleyes5:

Maybe if u free ur mind u can really understand me...

Maybe if you weren't batshit crazy people could understand you. You are the second most incoherent poster on this board.

I'm whiter than a marshmallow and I'll defend Cam to anyone, especially against those who say he's not smart enough to excel in a pro offense or other BS crap.

so what race an i?

White.

Are you saying two of the best RBs in the league, a "top 5" WR, 2 pass catching tight ends aren't enough weapons for Cam?

Lordy lord.

You need a QB just to compete, but if you can't stop anyone you can forget it. I look at the Saints in 2008, Drew Brees almost broke Dan Marino's passing record, but they Saints couldn't stop poo.

Defensive overhaul in 2009-- Super Bowl.

Just 1 example, doesn't apply to every team, just saying. No that does not mean we are going to the Super Bowl next year. Didn't say that.
