There is a difference, but the magnitude of the difference between how the teams are doing may be so much greater than the magnitude of the difference between the stats of the two players by the end of the year that Dalton may end up winning it.

certainly Manning had questions but nothing even remotely like what The Golden Calf of Bristol had coming out.

I don't really think the media or the internet forums do much to influence the actual talent evaluators in clubs that are passing judgment on players... and The Golden Calf of Bristol is one many teams passed on for a reason.

I believe if we end up 2-14 or 3-13 Cam wouldn’t even want ROTY..He wants to win above all. Its too early to make a final judgment but Dalton is playing good. Its about wins and if Dalton keeps racking them up he’ll get ROTY. I would have no problem with that because I honestly think Cam would see it the same way if we keep losing.

Me too, but the problem with this is the Panthers gave away their 2nd rounder in order to draft another quarterback, :( So picking Dalton was out.

they also lost two of their starting WRs and arguably their best cornerback... I mean yeah their defense was still okay, but so was ours...

many people thought the Bengals would be in a race for Luck this year. They were considered to be the most disfunctional team ever, ready to explode at any moment. Instead they're contending... and Dalton has played a part in that.

None of that should take away from how Cam has kept us in games, but Dalton deserves credit for helping right that sinking ship.

The Bengals wouldn't have been in the market for a QB if Carson wasn't acting like a two year old.

Anyway, take nothing away from Dalton but he didn't win the first game. The back up QB did. And it was won convincingly...So that is saying a lot. Dalton only really has one win over Cam..

sidenote...NFLN is re-airing the Lions/49ers game now. I guess they will be showing it all the way to the end. I wonder if the coaches are miked???Talk about highligh of the game..

Anyway, back to the topic. Did u say ur defense was better last year??? were they better cause the offense wasn't that good or were they actually better? also the Bengals beating the Panthers because of the defense and everyone thought that they d-team would tighten up come real season...So much for that thought.
