I guess the same way they missed that obvious facemask call against Atlanta when they almost jerked Newton's helmet off his head.

I still can't believe that was not called. That 15 yards could have changed many things.

As I was listening to this game I realized this is the main thing missing from the panthers defense, the ability to strike back after a mistake on offense. After messing up the kickoff return, the jets defense (i.e. Revis) is able to quickly "score" retaliate after an offensive mistake. I have not yet seen this ability in the Panthers defense. They play decent, but aren't getting those endzone stops, turning touchdowns to field goals, or points for the offense.
