Week 6 ESPN QBR Ratings Are Out

I'm not bitching, just pointing the finger where it belongs because it keeps being pointed everywhere else but him when it comes to winning and who is costing us games and that's just annoying and hypocritical because his inability to score 4th quarter points and finish the game is actually the main reasons we're losing.....but...just 6 games? First of all it's 10 games if you include pre-season, which do count towards experience but didn't Panther fans bitch about Moore after just 1 game last year because of his 4th quarter pick? Wasn't he benched after 2 because of back to back 4th quarter pics that kept us from winning those games? Even though he had a string of back to back wins before that. And how many did Clausen get before everyone started bitching?

Don't get me wrong, neither one of those guys measure up to Cam, but sooner or later Cam needs to be held accountable for the losses, not just the rest of the team even if he has an excuse of being a rookie. Being a rookie gives him a break with mistakes, but it doesn't mean he's not one of the main reasons for our losses. It also doesn't mean he's exempt from having to show improvement until 2012. So yeah he should be showing improvement after 6 games.

If being a rookie means no one can blame him for the loss than I suggest everyone stops blaming everybody else, and let's wait and see how this defense and special teams do whenever Cam decides to play a complete game. See if we still lose the game when he stops throwing 2 pics a game and starts scoring in the 4th quarter. Because at least so far I have noticed better running, better catching and better special teams. Defense is pretty much the same but they did a much better job containing Turner compared to Forte. I have not noticed better QB play compared to day 1 of the season. If the guy most responsible for the losses and showing least improvement is exempt, then the rest of the team should catch a break too. You can bitch about those sides when they get progressively worse. But so far all the other areas of this team have shown some improvement while our QB just had his worse day of the season.

Ur postings read like this guy who was always picking apart everything Cam did in a attempt to make his argument that Cam wasn't a good QB...Turns out he was a fan who was upset that the team traded Moore...Are u that guy? Ur postings sure nuff read like it.

1st pick: not his fault

2nd pick: once-in-a-career play by a defensive lineman

3rd pick: end of the game trying to make something out of nothing

So I'm not worried at all about the INT's I'm worried about our defense.

The first pick was not a good throw. He should have waited a split second longer. But I can live with it. The second pick was a terrible throw that came at the worst possible time. A soft lob that was a relatively easy catch for the dlineman. I agree with you about the third.

Cam has exceeded all expectations, no doubt about it. But just like anyone else on the team, he deserves criticism when he makes a mistake. And he has made several key ones over the last three weeks that hurt us. He is a rookie, and the mistakes don't really bother me that much because of the potential, but that doesn't mean we completely absolve him of any blame while dumping on any other player who makes a mistake.

    • It looks like the Bucks and Giannis are headed for a divorce. He says he's ready to play and the Bucks say that he has told them he isn't. It really doesn't matter except that it likely means the end for Giannis in Milwaukee. He's 31 years old, but still an elite producer.  So, as GM, would you go after him this offseason? Remember, the Hornets have two 1st round picks this year and potentially THREE first round picks next year. What would a trade look like?
    • I agree with you, if all things are equal--assuming we are on the same page as to what that means.  If a DT and OT are there at 19 and you have them equal, which do you take? The DT would be rotational and get 25 snaps a game or so, and the OT is probably a reserve for most of the season.  What if Walker plays out of his mind and Ickey comes back strong? To me, there are just too many variables at T and Morgan met the needs for 2 starters.  Nothing about that screams lets "go OT in round 1" to me. I could see an Edge or a DT at 19 before I see OT.  I could see a TE or S before an OT--and I (personally) would rather have an OT over DT, Edge, TE, or S--but I do not see the logic.  In fact, CB is a position that resembles OT--who do we have behind our starters and are we happy with Smith-Wade?  A CB would be on the field more than a reserve OT.  How is the Walker at LT situation different than the the Bryce situation? He is basically on a 1-year deal and if he is injured, Forsythe becomes Pickett.  Would you take Simpson in the draft?  Dont get me wrong--I usually agree with you  and I get your point.  I am an OL guru--but I just do not see this particular group of Tackles making us better than Walker.  In addition, I think we can address OT once the Ickey situation clears up.  Short arms, poor run blocking, issues with strength--I am simply not impressed with the OTs.  For clarity, "developmental" refers to players who are still a year or two away from starting.  We are all developmental, but there are prospects who need a season to transition to the pro game. I see 1--maybe 2 OTs who could step into a starting role right now. In college, for example, taking snaps under center requires a different approach than blocking for the shotgun.  There is less to learn if you play a position that does not require much adjustment to transition to the NFL.
    • The natural progression of ANY QB is to take more control of the offense.  Which is all Dave said. He doesn't have a narrative to push. He is says what is the natural thing to say in this situation whether it's Bryce, or any other QB.  THE THREAD TITLE ALONE TWISTS THE NARRATIVE.   so yes, many of you refuse to acknowledge anything other than your screwed perspective, for whatever reason, when it comes to Bryce.  Y'all have a great Easter.
