Byron Bell is not as good as Otah at all.

More like he had one solid game and today was his true form. Also, if you haven't noticed, Clay Matthews hasn't exactly been tearing it up this season.

Bell was below average in preseason, simply didn't suck against the Packers, and then was manhandled against Atlanta. Is this really the guy you want as our long-term starter at RT? Do you want Cam to get killed or something?

Bell might be good as a backup and solid for an UDFA, but to think he's suddenly going to come in and develop into a starting-caliber RT simply isn't realistic. He's had two starts: one average and one awful. Could he eventually develop into a starter? Sure. But it's not something we can count on happening, IMO.

My point as well. This was more about what Rivera said. Bell is no Otah plain and simple. I don't know if he got tired or what but he got crushed in the 4th by a below avg. Ray Edwards.

bell is good depth. don't like him for anything more than that.

otah is the problem, though. the guy is a monstrous waste of roster space. i don't care how good you are if you are constantly watching from the sidelines and hurt, you do this team no good. he is absolutely pathetic.

But but but he's a rookie. We're growing. He's only really played in a couple of games. Wait till next season. I take it this excuse doesn't apply to everyone for some?
bell isn't the problem.

otah is the problem. it's not bell's fault that we got stuck with a monster RT that has spent over half his career hurt and on the sidelines.

we need to move on from that fragile bum.

Rivera was just trying to motivate Otah and Bell.....his one comment worked 2 different ways for 2 differentt players.

Rivera knows Otah when healthy is a beast and Bell is a rookie.

seriously....we need to scrap this thinking.

i don't care how much of a beast otah is when healthy. it doesn't matter because he isn't healthy. he's hurt more often that not and he misses more games than he plays in. when he comes back from injury he's always trying to play catch up and when he finally gets caught up he gets hurt....AGAIN!

otah is worthless.

I bet Cam didn't appreciate that one big sack he got because Byron Bell "whiffed" on a block.

The Raiders just lost their starting QB Jason Campbell for the season due to a collarbone injury. The Raiders have been looking like a playoff team. Now that Campbell is out, they probably won't make it.

The Panthers may not be making the playoffs this year, but they sure as heck cannot afford to see Cam get injured for the season. We might have a repeat of last year if that happened.
