Do people expect a defense to be good

Nobody said they didn't deserve blame. What we're saying is it's stupid to make threads about the offense being the defenses problem when it's the defense being the defenses problem....whether that is personnel' date=' scheme or a combination of both is debatable. Where did I say the offense is the defenses problem? I said our defense was bad, but it doesn't help when we're turning the ball over and having dreadful quick 3 and out drives. That first drive by the offense was BEAUTIFUL even if it only resulted in 3 points. It chewed up what, half of the 1st quarter?

I'm blaming most of this on the COACHING rather than the offensive players(penalties gotta stop though). They continue to pass the ball when we have stud running backs, and that stops the clock and puts our defense on the field more than it needs to be.

Never said the defense wasn't partially at fault. I'm saying the offense consistently fails in big situations. You can't argue that.

We're simply not a good football team. I know it sucks to say that, but it's true. I'm hopeful that will change with a good offseason, but as for now we're probably looking at 3-13/4-12.

This was his first time throwing 3 picks and all were flukes except the one at the end of the game when we had already lost. Asking him to be better right now when he is completing 60% of his passes and amounting for 297 yards per games. Also our offense is 5th in the league in total offense and our defense is 16th. The glaring problem is clear when you look at rushing yards allowed this year. We are 31 is the league with 140 yards given up a game.

we sucked in all phases today, but you aren't going to win many games when teams can consistently run the ball down your throat. We simply cannot stop the run, its pitiful... Ryan had what 150 yards today, yet they still put up 31 pts.

I can agree with that. Our defense sucked.

I think my biggest issue is I expect a lot more from our offense. So much talent across the board and they continue to come up short because of poor coaching and mental errors(PENALTIES PENALTIES PENALTIES) They are capable of putting up 25-30 points/game, but they have got to cut down on the mistakes.

Maybe they'll figure it out before the seasons over. As of now there is a lot to work on.

Doesn't help when your defense isn't making turnovers or stopping teams on third down.

Yup I hate that are defense isn't getting turnovers. Definitely a big reason for our failures. You will get no argument from me there.

I want our offense to stop committing boneheaded penalties and our coaching staff to stop putting the game on a rookie quarterbacks back and trust the running backs(especially Stewart, he needs to be THE GUY now, not DWill).

As I said, they have so much potential and a lot of their problems are easily correctable(the penalties). It's extremely disappointing to see them beat themselves week in week out.

I want some godamn turnovers from the Defense. Give Cam and the O some extra opportunities to maybe work a short field for once. 9/10 when we get the ball on offense we have to go 80+ yards, that is asking a lot from a rookie QB.

Also, when our D is getting gashed for 5 yards here 7 yards there, all the way down the field for 7-8 min drive, you could argue that the offense gets out of rhythm standing on the sidelines. One of the reasons why I would like to run the ball some more, because I think we have the Oline and RB's to sustain those long drives, and keep opposing QB's off the field.

You basically keep saying if the offense quits turning the ball over and quit committing penalties then maybe the defense wouldn't look so bad. Which isn't true, as you have already been proved wrong about two of those turnovers. But whatever.

Our offense never even punted until late in the third quarter. What is being demanded by you for our offense is unobtainable.
