The Walking Dead on AMC

Shane will be proven right again. Don't think telling Dale that Randell wasn't killed really mattered with his guts torn open. Showing mercy in this world really is taking a huge risk. Is it worth it to spare Randell if he kills one of the group or if he escapes and brings his group to the farm? Sure he may not be a threat but is it worth the risk to you, your family, and your friends? Its fine to take the moral high ground...until it backfires on you. Its easy to show mercy when there's no risk yourself but in their world every decision is life or death. Humans devolve the quickest when laws are gone.

that, and it was pretty clear that dale was in shock and couldn't communicate whatsoever. even if they told him that they decided to keep randell alive, i don't think he would have even been able to grasp it at that point.

Although he couldn't communicate, he still would have comprehended it. When they put the gun to his head, he actually moved his head up and put his forehead touching the end of barrel, whcih tells me he still had his wits about him somewhat at least. I think he would have known, and appreciated it to whatever degree.

Eh, this show is wearing thin on me. Yeah Dale getting killed was a big deal but the rest of the episode was a snore. The arguments for and against killing Randall, which I assume was a focal point of the episode, weren't articulated well at all imo. While they were arguing it out I just wanted to scream some logic into the conversation, both for and against.

Is T-Dog an actual character in this show? Are Maggie and Glenn just background fixtures now? If they're focusing on character development then they should develop more than one at a time. Apparently this was the Carl episode and Dale died, nothing else really mattered.

I don't mean to be a hater, but damn.

I think they've been doing a lot of that; just not in this episode. Most likely they made it a Dale episode because it was his last, and made the rest about Carl because he hasn't really been explored at all, and he's definitely getting to be a lot different. I definitely feel TDogg has to be used more, maybe he'll pick up the slack as moral compass?

why did they put so much emphasis on the zombies' eyes? Not sure but it was more creepy that way.

how did the zombie have the strength to just rip dales chest open? The walker tore open his abdomen. The sternum couldnt be tore open that easily. The walker's hands were mostly bone and fingernails so its easier to tear into flesh.

if shane gets killed i think the show will take a turn for the worse

100% agree.

Do any of you watch Talking Dead?

They actually mentioned the zombie eyes and the lengths they went to to not have him blink.

One of the guests was Greg Nicotero, who directed the episode and is in charge of the effects (he's the N in KNB Efx).

I've had the great pleasure of hanging out with Greg a few times over the years and he is an awesome talented geek who is totally into movies and effects as a fan as well as a professional. It was fantastic to see him talk about the show and see that light in his eyes describing the zombie effects as well as the characters. The first movie he ever worked on was Day of the Dead and I think he was a zombie in that too - they mentioned the Walking Dead biting zombie action figure is him LOL

    • the argument that Dan Morgan was assistant GM for years while running counter to everything both his bosses signed off on (who look down at him and his staff for info).....is a tough sell.  I feel we do a variant of this every year.  You aren't this bad...becuase of 1 person.  You are this bad because of LOTS of bad people.  It was never just Joe Brady.  Which is why firing him didn't lead to better offense.  It was never just Matt Rhule.  It was never just Fitterer.    As bad as we are, we need to scorch Earth this puppy and quit letting people who were part of making the mess be the designed folks to lead us out of the mess.  when David Tepper and Jim Caldwell found the answer on the roster......it was clear from the jump nothing had really changed.
    • "Buckaroo." That's good. 🤣👍 Mature beyond his years, clearly. Brian Burns was a far more justifiable asset to trade for a good return during the 2022 season, than DJ Moore (who was shipped out the following spring). Do you disagree? Let me know. I'd have traded Burns before McCaffrey, and I wouldn't have traded Moore at all. It's possible, despite what Morgan and Fitterer display, to turn down a bad offer. Thirty-one other teams are aware of this. That brings me to Johnson: if your "leverage" is "he wasn't gonna re-sign," you have no leverage; which, as you said, means you shouldn't make a trade, right? Do you disagree? If so, quickly adjust your prior stance. Giving up No. 1 in 6 and a standout WR, even if he's petulant, for No. 30-32 in 5 = demonstrably stupid. Keep the comp pick if he re-signs, or see if he can be convinced to stay with a new non-Shedeur QB.
    • It's impossible to say if he would have looked elite... I guess if you're saying he wouldn't be in the discussion of one of the best QBs in the league with us, probably true, lol, but I think he'd probably still show that talent. We don't know how that offense runs with CJ... Dalton made it look pretty decent in his one start. I doubt that CJ has the season he had with the Texans, but he also elevated Nico Collins a ton and took a journeyman in Noah Brown to his highest YPR of his career (4 more than any other year before it).
