knew that since the episode was going so slow something big was gunna happen.. this was Dale's last stand.. now does Andrea become the voice of reason? she was a civil rights lawyer or sumthin and stood up with Dale in the end.. she has always been the one talking some sense into Shane

i thought Carl was gunna kill the other guy in the barn at the beginning.. wuda been cool..

Good episode with a great ending. I was expecting that walker to get to the farm being Carl was f'n with it but I thought it would get Randell in the barn. Didn't care for Dale so not a big loss for me. The way Randell was talking to Carl means he is still trying to get back to his group. Said in the Talking Dead show that Dale was supposed to find another cast member eaten instead of a cow....wonder who they were thinking?

This has been my #2 favorite show behind Game of Thrones but GoT 2nd season will have a lot to live up to to stay #1 IMO.

Had a guy die in the hospital from his bowels busting open for a 3rd time. Guy had a small bowel obstruction and had surgery. He didn't tell anyone he was a big drinker and started to withdraw. He got tied up but kept straining so hard he busted his sutures open requiring stronger reinforcement. He busted them open again after getting loose and was found dehissed with his bowels hanging out. Surgeon couldn't get them back in due to swelling so they just ordered a lot of pain meds and covered his bowels with moist dressing. They guy died in a couple of days. Dilaudid took the place of a 44 in this case.

Good God, man.

And then ending was a bit of a shocker for me. I didn't expect Shane to get off the hook so easy with Dale. The last big chess piece has fallen that prevented Shane from pushing for more control of the group. No one else will stand up to him. At least Daryl was back in this episode - the show needs his character. Who else thought he was going to show up when Carl was struggling with that walker? I kept waiting for the hiss of the crossbow.

I think I'm ready for them to leave the farm, but thinking in terms of reality, it's their safe haven, and what would drive a group of survivors to abandon their safe haven? The farm being overrun by walkers doesn't seem feasible, so what if this "other" group of people associated with Randall happen to stumble upon it and come snooping around? That would be entertaining.

If Dale put in half the effort to save his own life as he did Randall's then he would be still alive. How could he not know that cow was opened by a walker and not be more expecting of what was coming? I know all them women character are disliked by most here, but Dale was last on my list. He was too soft for the situation, every situation since we met him. Now Carl is gonna be all feelin like the blood is on his hands for not takin the walker out when he shouldve. Big burden for the little dude...

And yes, Chaos, I kept expecting Daryl to show up when Carl was in trouble...

Decent episode, Im ready to see what they do for the final 2. Hope that spoiler was right about Michonne...

I am calling that Carl kills that kid from the other group!

Only one zombie in the whole episode, and it takes out Dale! Im sorry, but Dale shouldnt have let that zombie sneak up on him. Lets see, you hear hissing, see a mutalated cow, and you arent searching around for the zombie, but just standing there like a goon staring!?!?! Plus, he carried a freaking rifle around. WTF is a rifle gonna do when the zombie is within 20 yards charging at you?

I am glad they took him out. He was weak on this show, much better of a character in the comics. Plus in the comics, he and Andrea were a couple. I knew they were not going to take that route with Andrea being more of a badass...

Hate to pee in the corn flakes, but along the lines of "How does one stab through a human skull?".....

How did he not see a zombie standing 5 feet away in an open field? It seemed like there was enough moonlight to see the cow.

You know they have to take a little bit of license with that kind of thing... or the plot wouldn't have worked at all. Of course you would think a guy that had been surviving in a world riddled with zombies would immediately assume "zombie" upon seeing a cow opened up like that... you would also assume that the others (Rick included) would see Dale laying there after being torn up by said zombie and know that he was dead already... surgery?

Yeah, that'll fix him... until he dies of the virus and comes back as a zombie...

Decent episode... they're at least moving things along character wise even if it is by killing one off... and hey, we did get to see TDogg for like 30 seconds, which is an improvement over the past 4 episodes...

Not surprised that Rick couldn't kill the boy... that would be tough... am surprised that he didn't have the balls to put Dale out of his misery... that was just pussified...

I think PSC is right... this episode, almost in it's entirety, was about building Carl's character and what's going to shape him now... he's gonna become a cold blooded killer I think and end up saving the group... or at least what's left of it.

Vote Carl for the leader of the group!!!!

I think that Daryl put Dale out of his misery in order for Carl and Daryl to have another talking point when Daryl figures out what happened to his gun. Daryl will have a chance to shape Carls opinion, and it will have a lot to do with empowerment and self preservation vs. what happened to Carols daughter.

    • We don't need to know what % was his fault last year because it was all bad enough to know to not sign up for more of it. Look at the stuff he was directly responsible for being the point man on, the pro-personnel, and the stuff he was involved in should tell you enough. If you have to discount it to make it look better than you already knew the answer. It's just making excuses for all of those people. Hoping something changes while discounting the work they already done here has proven to be a losing strategy every time so far. Maximus Copius Bulshitetus i think is the Latin name for that phenonium.
    • 1) Signed 2 high profile guards to big contracts. Did we need guards? Yes. But there's a reason you draft guards and pay tackles. It's easier to find solid guards in the draft. Now we have the most expensive line in the league and still can't get 100 yards passing before halftime.  2) Traded up to get a RB when we didn't really need one. Chuba is one of the better RBs in the league right now and while it is a contract year, we had a crap ton of holes all over. Brooks was a luxury pick we didn't have the luxury to make. 3)Spending a small fortune to build a supporting cast for BY. Bryce didn't even put the work in himself during the offseason by his own admission. We didn't need to build an offense specifically for BY. We brought in DJ and drafted XL. These guys need a QB with a live arm. That's not BY. Speed kills but not when your QB can't legitimately make an accurate, deep ball strike without putting a ton of air under it and floating it.  4. Not looking for a true center. There were several available and it's been a position of need for years. We could have had our choice but we rolled with Corbitt, who did look good at the spot, but had an injury bug that struck again this year.  5) He didn't bring in any serious competition for Bryce. Now you can say that BY needs time to develop and we needed to show we had faith in him, blah blah blah. But the simple matter of fact is Bryce looked like a PS QB last year, Andy has one foot in the QB grave, and there was never an attempt to actually compete for the job. If he genuinely believed that BY was going to magically make it all come together watching YT and chillin for 4 months to unplug, then there's nothing else that needs to be said.  The goal of every GM should be to build a winning team. Players are commodities and loyalty leads you to an early walk out the door. We've tried to build a system to work around the most limited QB in NFL history. 60 years of history should have told him it was never going to work. And benching BY after 2 games is the real truth, he never should have been starting anyway. And either Dan should have known that as the great MLB that he was after watching BY's game tape, or someone else is making the call and Dan is just rubberstamping that decision.  Either way, doesn't matter. We're screwed because we've devoted 2 years of resources to build around a player that didn't put in the work in the off season after one of the worst NFL QB seasons ever.
    • Something I find interesting is that you are more likely to find successful players as UDFA's than you are to find them with a single pick in any round past 3.  Those 3rd round compensatory choices?  Largely worthless.  Yes, I get it, there are a lot more UDFA's than there are drafted players in later rounds.  Basically, if you're fishing for starters you are simply not going to find anything in Rounds 4 - 7 with any regularity.
